Hey Mark,
Look forward to the challenges this new season presents.
Haven't read the rules yet, to see if they've made any changes.

Me neither, I just threw 15 scrubs on there to get it activated, it seems to be acting strange at the moment. I keep getting blank images when I choose players :(
It looks as though we'll start at week one this season anyway, instead of pointless pre-season games like last year.
I hope we do our draft season like last time too.

Last season we did a regular league for all those interested here on BS. There are no restrictions on who you choose other than the price limit set by the fantasy league web site.
However, to spice things up a bit, 8 of us on here decided to make it a little more interesting and started a second team and held a 15 round draft so that no-one could pick the same player twice.
In other words, the first player chose RvN from Man U, that meant no one else could pick him and we chose all of our teams that way.
It became quite difficult near the end as all the decent players were gone. The restrictive side of it made it more interesting and as the season progressed with injuries and suspensions there were times it became difficult to field 11 fit players.
The draft was a pain in the arse though as it lasted about 6 days and all the players were threatened with divorce if they didn't "step away from the computer" -- or maybe that was just me :)
Hey, who won last year anyway??? ;)

Count me in then. I started one team and might start another if ya'll decide to do one with the draft.

He He He, who won he says.
The drafted team league fell apart also towards the end as mistakes wern't corrected and 2 other players didn't participate all season long.

Hey Paul, long time no fantasy ... like a bad penny .....
Chelski is pretty much a fantasy team all by itself this season.
Notice the first match of the real season?

Indeed Mark.
Couldn't make that up could you?
Other posters on the Chelsea board were a little miffed that we had such a difficult start to the season, and, i see their point.
I however am looking forward to geting our usual beating at Anfield out of the way as quickly as possible.
I mean, it could be worse.
Imagine if we had to go there on the last day of the season with something vitally importent on the outcome ;)

Just to clarify: the drafted league has nothing really to do with the general BigSoccer one. Noone need worry about being accidentally forced into participating in both. The league that is listed on the top of this thread will be the large NON-drafted league. Anyone who wants to can enter and pick whomever they like.
In fact, to keep things simple, let's eliminate talk of the draft league on this thread. If anyone has questions about it, go to the other thread in this forum specifically. We currently have only ONE spot left, so if you would like in on the draft, make sure post your interest on that thread asap.

Good idea to create separate threads. This league (the non draft one0 will also have cup ocntests throughout the seaosn to keep things lively.
If you want to run them let me know otherwise I'll volunteer to to it again.
Last season we did a few different formats, a Champs League format, a straight knockout FA Cup style and others. If you have suggestions on format post them here.

Wow, a very large division already! Good stuff. Is there a cutoff at 50?

Don't think so, we are upto 54 already.
If we get 64 we could have all kinds of possibilities for cup contests.
