well they did in fact do their homework this time...
The three big Arsenal signings on the cards are Sporting Lisbon midfielder Miguel Veloso, that often mentioned Croat Luka Modric and PSV Eindhoven’s Peruvian goal machine Jefferson Farfan (various). Apparently each of these players would cost near enough £20m. Given that Arsene has never spent big, these rumours seem absurd, and therefore all three together represent a great deal of hot air.

I have been a long-term admirer of Farfan, a striker who has been a big hit since arriving in the Dutch Eredivisie three years ago. He has scored goals for fun and even when you take into account the average nature of the league, he has still amassed 56 league goals in helping his team to the title in the last two campaigns. It appears he is now keen to move up in the world and therefore a move to the Premier League seems on the cards. A pacy striker with good vision, he would fit in well in Wenger’s total-football squad.

Se acerca el fin de año y como es costumbre los clubes de Europa, piensan en renovar sus plantillas. Las instituciones más poderosas van en busca de los delanteros de mayor nivel.
Entre los más requeridos está Jefferson Farfán, quien nuevamente es noticia en la prensa de Inglaterra, país donde parece que llevará su poderoso olfato de gol.

La semana pasada se hablaba del Manchester City y a ese interés se agrega el del Arsenal, club que según algunas fuentes estaría dispuesto a desembolsar 40 millones de dólares.

El técnico de Arsenal, el francés Arsene Wegner, tiene en cartera el nombre de la "Foquita", además el de los volantes Miguel Veloso del Sporting de Lisboa y el croata Luca Modrik.
