Sweet - does one ticket allow you to watch both the football match and the Nascar race that goes on on that track between the players and the field? ;)

Do they play and race at the same time?

What a shithole place to play.

"Yea, I'm in the front row - now if a run across that 40ft track, scale the 20ft fence and jump that 5ft moat, I might be close enough to actually touch a player. Yippee"

I have a feeling the people going to these games in Queens are going to resemble his style more than yours. In fact i get the feeling you guys will sort of end up being engulfed by them.

i hope they resemble his style - ill learn from it - i watch the english league - thats what i know. Dont be misled though! While there is a large latin community in queens - the 7 train also leads to two of the biggest irish areas in the city - Woodside and Sunnyside! Not to mention somoe great italian areas - i think its going to be an amazing flavor! I cant wait - i want to learn songs sung in south america!!!

But New york New York - will happen!

I agree with Nick, though I'm a Chelsea Fan so I'm sure we can save that rivalry for another day, but I love English Football. I grew up with the European game and that what I know as well. We all will have different ways to sing and enjoy the game, but that's what makes the USA great and will make this team great.
I final understood why you didnt exactly like the Idea of the nickname "City", Nick..... Frickin' Man U fan...heh:D

As long as every one is learning from every one the crew can only grow in numbers and appeal to every one...

I my self who is not at all italian or have any roots to italy went to a milan game a few years back and had learned the chants via down loading the chants and putting them on a CD to listen and learn that way the 2 weeks that i was there for a home and a away game i was able to roll with the hard core ultra group "Tifosi di lioni" and sing with them... I was also in a riot vs lazio but thats another story... the point is as long as every one makes an effort to learn then every one sooner or later gets on the same page.... you dont know the latin song listen and clap along with it, hear it enough times next thing you know you are singing it regardless if you have a clue or not about what you are singing...........

The only person here with a problem about a mix group latin white what ever would be john rocker who would not be caught dead on the 7 train or at the NY soccer team future home games.....................................

Hahaha exactly Wile, the blend of all the different cultures makes it possible that a NYC atmosphere can be the best in the league. You look at Toronto which is a very diverse city and you will see West Indian steel drums along with European type chants. I would expect NYC to be that x10.

Great idea. Supporters groups should make CD copies of their chants available to new members. It would help them integrate.

What will happen....which is going to be way into the future, is that
once we have a team (god willing) and we start a 500+ supporters group as the Borough Boys, I believe smaller supporters groups will start to spout as they always do, some maybe from the same culture (Polish, Mexican, Italian), some who support the same league, political ideals..etc. etc...
We'll all have our own songs, but we will also all have the same songs.
It'll be amazing!

Yes, we can learn a lot from the violence that occurs at the penarol nacional games and the clubs and society that does almost nothing about it. It's just another life of a dumb ass, what's the difference?

And while I'm all for the passion and fun, too many people at the big games in south america are not really even watching the game. It's more about their songs and antics than the game, which I admire in a way, but it's not about the game.

Im sorry but I don't believe that you have ever attended a game in South America to talk. And if you have then you are talking OUT OF YOUR ASS! Sorry to be so frank but that's how I feel.

Actually, I've been to a couple of games in south america, and had the best time -- soccer wise -- I've ever had.

Which part are you referring to, the violence? Or the supporter's club who are not really paying attention to the game?

LOL Who did you go see? What country? Please dont lie to me and tell me either Argentina, Brazil or Uruguay. They watch the game while they are chanting. Now if you say some other country I might be inclined to believe you.

Ye of so little credibility doubts the words of others??? Anyway, I saw Boca beat your Velez 2-0 in 1998. The first goal being a Palermo break away beating Chilavert. I also so an U game in santiago.

Whatever, I'm simply saying there's plenty for us NOT to copy in this country about south american football.
