a win at the lane puts us through to the knockout stage. a draw or loss will send us to anderlecht for our final group match needing a result (well, that's not technically true, as we could lose both and advance, but still...).
defoe and kaboul are out, as well as the usual suspects, so we'll be thin in the middle of defence, what with king, rocha, and gardner among the latter. still, we should handle them without too much trouble; so i'm saying 3-0, w/ berbs, bent, & stalteri.
we've got this one live on FSC at 2:30 eastern here in the US. as i'm off work tomorrow, this works out perfectly. i'm up.
come on you spurs, and all that.

This is a game I've wanted to see for many, many years. Growing up in Aalborg I'm of course an Aalborg supporter, but when I moved to Canada at the age of 24 (8 years ago) I was forced to watch them from far away (internet helps). This will be the first time I get to see them on TV out here.
To top it off, I'm also a life-long supporter of Tottenham. THAT is what makes this so very special. I'm 90% certain Spurs will take this one, but this is just one game where I won't be able to root fully for either side. I hope both teams play well, and maybe for a draw. That would be perfect for me personally. A draw would be great for Aalborg, and Spurs would be able to use it towards the next few games.

Well hope for a win that will send us to the next round, Aalborg will make this really hard I reckon.

They enjoy extra vowels?
Maybe they can loan some to Crvena Zvedza.:D
Seriously, some background from the Spurs website - drew with Anderlecht so let's not take them too lightly.
Tonight's opponents Aalborg BK (AaB) are currently undefeated in this season's UEFA Cup and joint-top of the Danish Superliga with FC Copenhagen.
Here are a few more facts on our third opponents in the group stages...
- Progressed to the UEFA Cup this season after coming through the Intertoto Cup by defeating Finnish side Honka and Gent of Belgium.
- Qualified for the group phase of this year’s UEFA Cup after overcoming HJK of Finland in the second qualifying round upsetting Serie A side Sampdoria in the first round.
- Aalborg were the first Danish side to compete in the Champions League
- They opened their UEFA Cup Group G campaign with a 1-1 draw against Anderlecht. Mattias Lindstrom scored four minutes from time to earn a point for the Danish side- their 50th goal in UEFA club competition.
- Aalborg have only met English opposition once before in UEFA club competition when they were eliminated by Everton in the European Cup first round in 1966/67. They drew 0-0 at home but lost 2-1 at Goodison Park.

Cool thanks for the little quote Phillyspur. Its good to know that cause I don't want to underestimate our comp. I think they are going to give us a run but I think we will come through it.

Looking at the Lane and if we do expand to 55,000 or so man it would be such an intimidating place to go. This is cause it would feel like the fans are so close to you. Can't wait till that becomes a reality. We still have a very intimidating home but god I can just imagine.

Here our starting lineup:

* 06 Tainio,
* 07 Stalteri,

I really hate Max Bretos, I'm debating if I should hit mute now to save some aggravation.
