From yesterday's Arsenal v. Sevilla game (mins 4:00-4:35 of video): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JALWthMtVfo

A reminder that:

A) don't call something you thought you saw

B) use your assistants--ahead of time--when you should

C) sometimes there is dissent for a reason, and a good referee can use it to tell when he got something absolutely wrong

D) none of us are perfect; this is a Champion's League match done by one of the top 50 referees in the world (who deserves credit--along with his assistant--for having the guts to admit he was wrong)

Though the video doesn't make this absolutely clear (and I can't find an uninterrupted highlight), the original decision was PK and the referee reversed his call and went with a drop ball after consulting with his AR.

Sometimes it is hard to stop yourself from calling something you think you see (it's almost like you know your eyes saw something, and you have < 1sec to decide if they actually saw it or not). Good job by the CR for checking with his AR when he read the player's reaction.
