And there's no way Netherlands would beat Liechenstein by only 1-0, or lose to Belarus, no way in hell.

Yet still, the Dutch have the best UEFA coefficient for Euro 2008, and said coefficient is based on the most recent European qualifying campaigns. So as rubbish as we've done, everybody else has done even worse. Funny how that works eh.

The easiest possible group for Italy would include Austria, Germany, and Russia if you knew anything.

Thanks for the daily reminder of how much you know about football.

How would you guys rate these teams from 1 to 16 according to your knowledge of European football?
1 Italy (Simply the best)
1 Germany (Their coach is a suberb tactician)
3 France (Need a little improvemnet and they would be #1)
4 Spain (They Only get better)
5 Croatia (Always underrated, maybe it is even underrated right not, would surprise us)
5 Portugal (to be at the top they need more team chemistry, talent is there)
7 Chech Rebuplic (That's a team I usually don't watch a lot of)
8 Greece (2004 winner, this team reminds me of a Croatia)
9 Netherland (what is wrong with them, half of a Real Madrid is on that team)
9 Sweden (Something is missing)
11 Romania (don't know much about them)
12 Russia (I have faith in this team)
13 Turkey
14 Poland (Russia could beat Poland)
15 Switzerland (???)
16 Austria (easiest to rank, not a brainer)

4 of these teams I only know them by roster and scores but rest of them I was watching most of their Euro 2008 Qualifiers, so I might need some help

Poland is to high for that rank (Russia 2:2 Poland) Russia was leading 2:0 by two of their second strengh defenders were injured and had to be replaced by some sorry dudes, poland caught up after

I still think Germany is better than France, people tend to overate Frace alot

Other than that I could agree

I tend to disagree with you a little
1. Russia are ranked too low
2. Netherland are ranked too high
3. Croatia could be little bit higher maybe two seats

I'm a big fan of results. And for whatever strange reason, Poland is really good at getting qualifying results (save the '04 Euro disaster). The main stage is obviously another thing, but you have to credit them for winning their qualifying groups for WCQ02 and Euro08. I can see Romania over them, but otherwise, they're a more consistent team than anyone below them on the list.

Feel free to swap France and Germany. At this level of competition, the difference between 2nd and 3rd is negligible.

yeah I am totally opposite I like to watch and see if a team is strong enough
but looking at Poland by result it makes sense that Poland playing different teams with very different strategies and it works I guess I just have to wait and see: first what group they would be in and second how would they adjust to these teams and maintly what would be their scores/results

but it made more sense when you mentioned WCQ02 and Euro08

Show me Germany and Italy's head to head statistics. Please go back to the Chile board where you might know SOMETHING.

I would tell one thing that Germany are different squad now with a differnt coach.
Yes, over the past couple of years, of course Italy was better than Germany, but now with few adjustment Germany got better and Euro 2008 would who is better.

In addition, I think it would better to see a younger Italy with mix of veterans (too many old guys there) [just an opinion:rolleyes:]

We just got their number, they've never beaten us in a major tournament. Of course, all curses are eventually broken. I like my chances against Germany because they're not that fast.

Forza shows he's as consistent as a paper airplane:

Translation: "Of course Germany is an easier draw than Portugal, Spain or Romania" (the pot #3 teams).

A couple of changes but almost similar IMO.

Translation: "I mostly agree with you ranking Germany #3" (ahead of Portugal, Spain and Romania)

:p
