Damn it - you couldn't have made this the same day as the non-existent equipment sale for us out-a-towners

The equipment sale is a separate fund raiser for United for D.C. (and it's from 5 pm-9 pm so the times conflict with a HH). But other than that...

Damn it - you couldn't have made this a different day as my PTA meeting for us in-towners :p

Seriously, I think it is awesome that we are doing this again this year... although who is going to come up with something better than Freddy and JoJo?

BTW - Don't want to threadjack, but for those who also want to bring items for the Baghdad Care package (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?p=13329029#post13329029) along with them - it might make it easier to ship things out together. I will be sending them out that Wednesday, so a Tuesday night drop-off might be quite convenient!

Oh yeah, GS also has beer towers available (along with pitchers and half yards). I'd never seen these things before.

They hold 108 oz of beer and they bring right to your table.

And they beauty of these is you don't end up with a nose full of beer like with a yard glass (yeah, yeah, keep turning while you drink. Well, when you get near the bottom you're not exactly thinking clearly!! :p)

Thanks to all who came out for the Holiday Happy Hour (http://screaming-eagles.com/?p=651)! It was great to see such a wide variety of toys and they will definitely make some young children very very happy. I have posted a batch of pictures from the Grand Slam (http://www.flickr.com/photos/kgdg/sets/72157603389677346/)

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2001/2090949919_e41bb3662e_m.jpg (http://www.flickr.com/photos/kgdg/2090949919/) http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2318/2090952647_810cbf0ed3_m.jpg (http://www.flickr.com/photos/kgdg/2090952647/in/set-72157603389677346/) http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2152/2090948677_570cb5cb6f_m.jpg (http://www.flickr.com/photos/kgdg/2090948677/in/set-72157603389677346/)

Was absolutely blown away when I found out that Congresswoman Norton's office is in need of 500 toys for distribution at their party. So if you happen to be coming out for the equipment sale (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=622678) on Friday, please consider bringing one along to donate!!

Hope that Santa Judah and his merry elves can create tons of smiles during the holidays...

PS - Thanks to all who also brought items for the Baghdad-bound care packages (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=627309)!
