Hey whats was up with the odd team numbers..some players had their regular numbers like Ruud but O'sheas was wrong...anybody know?
and WHY if they're trying to PROMOTE the team were the backs of their shirts without a name?

You know, I wouldn't be surprised if O'Shea doesn't wear 22 this coming season. He wore 30 two seasons ago, 22 last year, and he might very well get another "shirt promotion" this year (Either him or Wes Brown's gonna get number 5 (that is, if Rio doesn't grab it, in which case one of them will get 6 instead)). Actually, I'm interested to know, which number *did* O'Shea wear in Seattle? I didn't see the game.
As to no names to the back of shirts . . . I think it's just common practice for unnamed shirts to be worn on friendlies. I'm not sure why, I'm guessing it's to make things more more flexible when everything isn't set during pre-season.

My advice would be to wait until early August for the squad numbers to be released before plonking down a hundred bucks for a new kit.

Don't forget Forlan wearing #14 instead of #21.
