If they were to pick from the Premiership for a manager for England then who could have the job:

Arsenal - Arsène Wenger
A great manager and one that would be great with England knows english football and as a good control on players and know tactics well but can't see him leaving Arsenal or the board wanting him to.

Aston Villa - Martin O'Neill
A good manager and a englishman but looks like he is unavailable.

Birmingham City - Eric Black (Caretaker)
Only a caretaker manager so can't see him in the sortlist.

Blackburn - Mark Hughes
Another good manager and someone who could do well with England but not sure if he would want the job think he would want to stay with Blackburn.

Bolton - Gary Megson
Only got the Bolton job recently.

Chelsea - Avram Grant
Only got the chelsea job recently.
Derby - No Manager
No Manager

Everton - David Moyes
Another choice that could be a good one not sure if he would be available.

Fulham - Lawrie Sanchez
Not been fulham manager that long and just left a national team.

Liverpool - Rafael Benítez
A very good manager and someone that knows a few of the England players also said he would like it.

Man City - Sven-Göran Eriksson
Left the England job not that long ago so can't see him even thought about.

Man Utd - Sir Alex Ferguson
A great manager also knows some of the English players can speak english and knows English football well but not sure if he would want the job.

Middlesbrough - Gareth Southgate
English but not been with his club for long also only his first job.

Newcastle United - Sam Allardyce
Looks like he is unavailable.

Portsmouth - Harry Redknapp
Not sure about Harry a good manager but not sure if he would want it.

Reading - Steve Coppell
A manager that is good at club level and would i think would take it if asked also done well with reading but not sure if he would be on the sortlist as he is not doing great with reading at the moment.

Sunderland - Roy Keane
A good manager but in his first job and not been there long.

Tottenham Hotspur - Juande Ramos
Just had the job recently

West Ham United - Alan Curbishley
A manager that i think would take the job and could be on the shortlist but not sure if he would do well.

Wigan Athletic - Steve Bruce
Just got the Wigan job recently.

Looking at the Premiership there are not many managers that would either want the job or have not been in there job for long.

Martin O'Neill isn't English.

And I'm not so sure Fergie knows that some of the English players can speak English or not...as he doesn't...really.

I would have to say Fergie. He's the only manager in the world that seems to have complete respect from his players'. Yes he does rule with an iron fist but if you want big results you need a tough man to keep all the players' humble, focused & in check.

Middlesbrough - Gareth Southgate
English but not been with his club for long also only his first job.

Let's hope that Boro don't win the League Cup this year...

I'd still like to see Fergie get the position. He's te only manager in England right now with enough backbone to handle the players' in the national side though I agree with some of you I cant see him leaving United until they win yet another Premiership title & the Champions League.
