So I went to the "Access United" clip on Luci getting the MVP award, and he spoke in English.

Holy cow he is linguistically gifted. I speak 3 languages fluently, and a smattering of 2 more (plus latin and attic greek, but those don't count), but it takes me a lot more time and effort, I think, to learn a language than him.

So cheers Emilio, both for learning English and for the MVP award.

P.S. I think we can take the improvement in his English as a sign that he wants to stay to play here. I don't think he'll be leaving DC United any time soon (/spit /spit /spit).

P.P.S. Please fix the title, someone with super powers, to Emilio's English, rather than Emlio's English ;) Stupid fat fingers.

I grew up with 2 languages spoken in my house, but when I had to learn a 3rd for school (Polish isn't offered sadly), ugh I hated it. Props to him.

I really was quite impressed that he chose to speak in English rather than Portuguese or Spanish. He's brave :)
