You just knew we were going to get the Croats again.

Chance for instant payback.
I like it.
It could have been far worse than that.

Sod that, this is a good group when you consider what we could have got.
If the FA do things right with regards to choosing a new manager we will qualify.

Not a bad group to qualify out of. We can now right the ship with the Croatians..

Better appoint a proper manager. Belarus won't roll over away either.
Would be great to knock the Croats down a peg after Billic's gapping.

The trip to Kazakhstan will be interesting. Have we ever played them before?

Yep, I bet they'll be complacent with the way they've been spouting off in the press. The FA should make sure we play them early before they know what our new manager brings to the table.

Yes, my optimism does depend on the FA not bodging the appointment again. I predicted that McClown would be a disaster and that we wouldn't qualify for Euro 2008, the group we had was fairly tough. Give us Capello and we'll be practically qualified in summer 2009.

Not bad, like the fact that we got Croatia - no way in hell they'll be underestimated. Ukraine missed on Euros as well, but had a great WC last time, so they'll be up for this one as well. Belarus, Kazakhstan, Andorra are probably the easiest 3 teams we could get as well.
Winners of the group are in, then 2nd seeds battle it out for 4 more spots I think.

We have a score to settle. This is the perfect group.

I wouldn't like to be playing Ukraine, Kazhakstan and Belarus away late in the year.

Croatia were never underestimated but they will underestimate us. There'll be no McClown to choose arse backward tactics this time.

I am gonna have a wild stab in the dark and say we won't be playing 5-3-2 or whatever the hell it was in Zagreb this time.
