Good luck for the game! Your guys are the outsiders, but I think you can make the surprise and get a draw there. At least Zenit's statistics against BL teams should give some confidence. :-)

Let's hope that Andy Wolf will be able to play, since he's very important in such a game.

Well the FCN Herz Halskette I wear every day, it will never come off. LOL! I just think the boys need a little cheerleader or mascot over there, at all their games to give them a confidence boost, think I should volunteer for that job?

And I have to admit, Zenit has had quite a few good chances to score, it's just not their lucky day, I mean, there's been quite a few golden opportunities with the goal wide open. But I've seen some nice fighting moments on FCN's half so far , they just need to keep that defense up and be consistent.

Andrey Arshavin is great (the little active guy for Zenit ) But the Zenit pressure is not as big in the 2nd half as it was in the first. And as I'm writing Mintal almost made it 0-2. That would be totally misleading result to the match itself. But I agree, that FCN are fighting and rightfully so.

Well crap :( I spoke too soon, it's now 1-1.
Although, in FCN's defense the first goal scored against them, Blazek really didn't much time to react to. The second on....difficult to say. I think Zenit's confidence boosted from the first goal, and FCN's got shaken.

DAMN IT, kopf hoch jungs, we can turn this around, just need to conentrate, and focus.

Well when I am over there in 2008, I'll be their little cheerleader, no problem! My family insists I am probably the most passionate Cluberer that i a female, and possibly even the most passionate Cluberer at all. What did I say? :) Congrats FCN on this important draw (unfortunately I managed to see only the last 30 minutes of the game), now all is possible again! A win at home against Alkmaar ... and you'll have a so-called "Endspiel" in Larissa. Who knows, maybe you won't even need 2 wins out of the last 2 games but only a win and a draw (depends on Everton's results against St. Petersburg & Alkmaar)...

Great mental strength from the team to come back after such a shocking "Doppelschlag" with 2 late Zenit goals within 2 minutes (can't remember Benko to have scored a goal in any game before)! If there wasn't that poor defending on the left wing once again, the FCN could have even won the game (although the hosts missed a few good scoring opportunities).

But a draw is ok, important is that Zenit didn't go through after this match! I still hope they'll get screwed in Liverpool and miss the next round ... since I simply dislike the Gazprom/Putin "mafia" (Zenit is "his" club) and even more their manager Dick Advocaat (for some good reason:-)! :cool:


COME ON BOYS!!!! Play it like you want it!!! Keep it up boys!!!

Since FCN has the Aussie connection and Advocaat just screwed us over, I'm disappointed they didnt get the win to get some revenge on the greedy bastard.

I'm content with the draw, and based on what I saw from my boys today, I am pleased with the results. They put up a hell of a fight, and were quite focused and determined. And as I stated before, I did notice that even though Zenit had more than a few good chances to score, with a wide open goal, they kept overshooting and being very unlucky, which was in my boys' favour of course. :D

The game got pretty intense at times, when Zenit started picking up on their game a bit more in the second half. Anytime the cameras went to Hans Meyer, he looked like he was near to have a conniption fit!
