Lets move on shall we?
The draw for 2010 is made on sunday. If you look at englands previous qualifying groups I think they have been very fortunate. Law of averages say we will get a bloody difficult one soon. Lets hope not.

Piss off.
You have nothing constructive to say whatsoever.
Also, England is spelt with a capital E.

This is a joke right...?? England got Holland for 94, Italy for 98 and Germany for 2002....if that lot fall into the "fortunate" category then I hope England are decidedly "unfortunate" this time....(kind like 2006)

We actually managed to win 2 of those groupings.
Im predicting a turnaround in fortunes if we get the right coach.

The fact I don't live in a dream world where england are still the best team in the world and the only reason we haven't won anything is the manager means I can't take anything you say seriously.

You're bound to have one good team, but some groups have 3 or 4. England have never got close to having a difficult group. But I have a bad feeling we will this time.

Where have I ever said that England (note capital E you prick) are the best team in the world? That would be nowhere.
I have consistently maintained that the ex manager was part of the problem but not the whole problem. However, the manager is the one who (Let me help you out because you appear to be a tad thick. You must have gone to DeLisle or something) a) Picks the team b) Sets the tactics. If the manager puts out a clusterfcuk of a line up then that is a major reason. The players bear responsibility for not being able to carry out idiotic tactics but the manager needs to pick the right players in the first place.
You are a moaning little twat who never offers anything remotely resembling constructive criticism but bleats on about the same thing without ever making any point.

He had around 6 players out due to injuries, and who came in? Very average players, shows how little talent there is in england, but some people like you won't admit it.
You'll never learn and you'll be here in 2 years wondering why this great team failed again, oh wait it must be the manager.

its really suprising and quite unfair
try going over to a US or MLS forum and slagging of the USNT or one of their "next great, world beating, All Star, soon to be signed by Barcelona players" and see where it gets you.
I remember posting how shyte Oneyow (however the feck you spell it) was and how he would struggle in the Prem in my own club forum and was basically attacked by a mad horde of USNT fans from other forums, FFS!

Where have I ever said that there is depth in the England team? Here's a clue. I haven't.

As I have stated. The manager was part ( I suggest you look this word up in the dictionary) of the problem. He picked the team, tactics etc.
No its time to change the manager and tactics, we've changed one lets hope our new manager can play the english way and we can win games without having to go to penalties.
Must be the managers fault.....

It was like fort knox during the last world cup.
They have about 30 moderators watching over things like hawks to make sure their spazzo's get protected from any criticism.

You should have a look in there at the moment. They have about 4 England threads over.
My favourite is the "How would be do in the Euro qualifiers"

Ahhh yes ,the euro qualifiers.
No doubt we will be hearing the same old shiit about how concacrap venues are really hard and how they get batteries thrown at them by local transvestites.
So therefore it would be easy to make it in europe.
Then you ask them "how come the USA has lost every competitive game its ever played in europe?" and its errrr errrr but azteca is really hard ,duuuuuude

To be fair there are a couple who actually know what they are on about. The rest of them. Not so much.

I believe it goes much deeper. The way kids are coached is wrong or at best inadequate, getting 8 year olds playing on full scale pitches dosen't help anyone. We have to teach the kids much better technique to get them comfortable on the ball. The england set up has to be given more time, u16 's to u21's have to get co-operation from the premiership to release the players so they can compete against other nations at the highest level and get young players used to playing in major tournaments and create a winning mentality, then they would be ready for the full squad. I believe a Football academy needs to be set up just like France did after failing to qualify for USA 94 and look what happend to them. I believe the manager is important but he can do only so much with a small pool of players who are limited in their skill level. We need a manager who see's through the superstar nature of england players and has the balls to pick a team not a team of individuals.
Prepares himself for idiotic reply.

See. That's a bit more constructive.

Er that academy opened in 1988 and if it had opened in 94 it would not have been responsible for 1998.
Ever heard of the FA School at Lilleshall?

What a revelation. Pure genius. Would it help to have a manager who doesn't pick idiotic formations away from home?

Help me out here. Who would you pick?

This is where you're wrong.
There's nothing wrong with the players England has, they are for the most part world class.
What England needs is a no-nonsense coach who doesnt take shit from anyone and who can motivate an entire team.
