I think we have won 3 games in the last ten years, or something! as you say, high time for that trend to be reversed.... hope its on the box here, but we have the resources to win this, the only question is about it all coming together, on the day this team, even without Veron (with Paraguay - and congrats to them....) can beat anyone, I believe ... but only when its all working...

We should take advantage of this game because one we are at home, Two Toluca will be missing Vicente and Da Silva both are key players for their team. I expect a 2-0 for this game if we want to continue to the semi-finals.

Scocco brought down in box, him and Solari argue over who takes it, Nacho does and scores, and Solari refuses to celebrate with him
2-0 but you can see the seeds of a problem here....

You beat me to it Dale. What an immature bastard Solari is. I know he's the leading scorer, but let some of the teammates have some fun.
Maybe Solari was the designated pk kicker?
I hope Toluca gets ousted by UNAM, they dont do anything and dont let you do anything, I hate teams like that.
Solari is a good guy, I always see him giving autographs and giving interviews.

Its been difficult to really spot who has been, but certainly last season it seemed Scocco was (when playing), and he took the first this season, but the next one Solari took, and you felt maybe their was the idea that they were going for top scorer title, once he was getting close - but liguilla goals dont count do they for that?
I would rather Nacho was desginated, but my feelings on him are well documented....

Great win but we should have killed it. Totally pissed by the spat between Scocco and Solari. It showed that if affect them especially when Scocco had everything to cross to Solari and he shot from the wings. That BS should be left of the field, it's a freaking liguilla what do Solari care if Scocco shoots it. Both are idiots.
Still we should have killed when we dominated and we also got benefited from bad calls from the refs.

well said, 2-0 not all that, 2-0 loss at their place is all too easy to see....
Just saw the goals, After a disappointing Clausura 2007,and a slow start this season, Scocco is really striking the ball beautifully at the moment... strikers hunt in pairs goes the old adage, and it seems Tuca has settled on an effective pair for the first time since arriving.... don't want them falling out....
Pumas have to go all out in Toluca. If they try to play their game, its over. They cannot stay back and let Vicente get in with the ball. Rosada hasn't been all good so the midfield battle should be good.

AWESOME!! yay! i went to this game too and it was amazing, great played game by pumas, Sambueza is playing great so as Scocco, i only hope the little kidies fight between Scocco and Solari doesn't affect sunday's match and the rest of la liguilla (if we make it trough). However we should've scored more, anyway im heading to Toluca this sunday =) i hope we win again!
Tienes que salir campeón en este aaaño, ustedes ponen los huevos y yo alentaaando, desde hace mucho tiempo, la vuelta yo quiero dar, vamos pumas no me puedes fallar! :D

I would like to think that Pumas could have gotten a third, but Cristante played out of his mind in the latter stages of the second half. They have gotten 2 ties in their last visits to Toluca. And if there is one result Pumas know how to get...

That's very true Texmex...they've had enough practice!
I agree about Cristante, I think he is an excellent keeper, one of the best in the league, very quietly gets on with the job, without being flashy, and controls his defence very well... but we've got Sergio, who is actually younger than the Argentinian (), and can do stuff like this (http://youtube.com/watch?v=mhFIciHa7sY)....
Come on lads... got myself very excited already... and the PMT (pre-match tension) has kicked in early... three hours to kick off, and I can't think straight....
