I'm bitterly disappointed in England's performance (even though I'm Canadian), and I don't know if I'll even watch one Euro-cup game now. I remember reading something about bringing back the home nations cup since no teams from Britain qualified. Any news on this?

Watching England play Northern Ireland and Wales while the rest of Europe is playing in their Championship Final would merely bring back bad memories. Thanks but no thanks!

In all honesty, I wonder if England would be able to overcome NI and and the Scots........... how sad it has become.

The home internationals would be fun because you could finally show the Scots who is boss. They keep talking about how if England were in their group they would be bottom. A good 3-0 drubbing would do them good.

Here's a crazy idea, how about no football is played over the summer so we can endure one season without managers complaining about players being tired

Indeed. As much as people make of McClaren's tactical incompetence, and rightly so, England would have qualified walking away without injuries throughout the campaign. As I pointed out elsewhere, England started 8 different midfields in 12 qualifiers during that campaign in comparison to Croatia, who probably started two or three with Modric, Kovac, Srna, and Kranjcar starting together throughout.

I hope the FA gives it a rest and has a second thought about the potential for a fresh England squad as it runs into WC 2010 qualifiers.

Home Nations Cup is pointless. Who cares who wins that? Only the Scots.

Have the Summer off so England players can get some rest and allow their hunger for International Football to grow by seeing what they are missing out on in Euro2008.

Scotland need to play teams that are better than they are, if they are to improve.

A Home Nations tournament would not be much use in that regard.

We'd need to play somewhere which doesn't have a disgrace of a pitch.

Who cares about Scotland? Did you see the English jumping all over your crappy little forum when you got stuffed by chuffing Georgia?

I was at the last England Vs Scotland match and I simply cannot believe the police would allow such a match to go ahead again for safety reasons.

They let Liverpool-United and Celtic-Rangers games go ahead and they are very dangerous games to be at. I think the police will manage if it goes ahead..
