Now that ENGLAND is out or the EURO, everyone will most likely get to see BECKHAM. Are people gonna buy tickets like they did this year, or are they gonna punish the GALAXY?? I will probably buy season tickets now!!

People should buy tickets primarily to support their team.

That's probably what he thought himself before last season.

Not that anyone would come into this forum without knowing the England result... but putting two and two together wouldn't be too hard. The [R] was kinda a waste... the thread title makes it pretty clear.
But its a good point... Beckham will be available to play lots of games for the Galaxy. He just has to keep from getting injured again.

It SUCKS big time that England is out of Euro 2008. HOW can you have a Euro Championship without England???
But at least this means Beckham will be available for most or all of the Galaxy's games next year so it should be a boost for American soccer.

With the way England has been playing recently, its pretty easy.

I just read this in the Italian sports daily la gazzetta dello sport. I couldn't believe my eyes. This is great news for the Galaxy, the MLS and the fans. Fabio Capello during the Italy-Faroe offered his services to England. Below is my best translation of the article.

MILANO, 21 novembre 2007 - Russia qualifies, England out. the drama of English soccer goes on display at Wembley, where Croatia who was already qualified plays a great match wining 3-2. In Andorra Russia wins a tireless match 1-0 (at 39th' Sychev) and celebrates their qualification to the EURO 2008 along with Sweden Turkey & Portugal.
ADDIOS MCCLAREN - He had said: "Judge me at the qualifying rounds end". Now the English media has a lot to write: England's mgr McClaren didn't know how to prepare for the biggest match of the year. Qualicjly falling behind 2-0 after the 14th' (goals by Kranjcar & Olic), Gerrard & Co. risked a shipwreck many times before cutting back the score at the 55th minute thanks to a questionable pk converted by Lampard. They needed another goal with Crouch, but between crossbars and miraculous saves by Carson, Croatia just misses the 3-2 many times until Petric blew the final whistle
CAPELLO' S OFFER - When there was still 45' minutes left in the match Fabio Capello made his services available to takeover for McClaren on Englands bench: "Me the mgr of England? It would be a great thing to become and I think I'm old enough to handle it". Capello said to a question proposed by his collegue on RAI TV Marco Civoli, during the Italy-Faroe Islands match.

In a wierd way England not getting into Euro may have cemented Beckhams place in the England squad for the 2010 qualifiers in 08. Two games in early Sept and two games in OCtober that could rob LA of Beckham during playoffs.........

Beckham is training at Arsenal right now so that he can demonstrate his fitness to Capello and try to win a shot at playing in the Feb 6th friendly at Wembley against Switzerland. It would be his 100th England cap.

Yeah, I don't see any way Beckham will be denied his 100th cap regardless of who the England coach was. But that's different than saying he'll be on the squad for all WC2010 qualifiers in '08.

He'll definitely get to 100, but he'd have to prove himself all over again to have a role in the WCQs.
