Would you want him here? Personally I would...as he would add exactly what we need at the forward position...speed and athleticism.

Couldn't hurt to take a look.

If he comes to MLS he'd likely enter via a weighted draft in which case we'd have about a 2% chance of getting him. Hope he likes near-beer in Salt Lake...

The problem is he'd be considered a US international since he's played at the U-20 level and his entrance into the league would be by weighted lottery and since we don't suck and have less weight in the lottery, we have no real chance of winning.

Unless a team wants to use an allocation on him.

BTW, we're #4 on the list (after SJ, KC, and Columbus). We also have until May to use them before they go away completely (or somesuch way that MLS hasn't told anyone).

In that case, go for it...the allocation has a sell by date, and Hill is a wide player and attacker with speed. Why not?

A fast young American forward from a Bundesliga roster with no transfer fee? i think it's a no brainer, unless his salary requirements are too high. Anyone have any idea what he makes at Wolfsburg? If I had to guess I'd say 2-400,000. I'd sign him for 200,000.

Yet another BS myth, like Johann Smith.

Based on what?

You would give hm Fred/Emilio money based on riding the bench in Germany?

Well, if he'd gone into the superdraft, he would've been a top 5 pick. There's no denying Hill's talent, but there are character issues. He hung around UCLA when MLS wanted him because he was happy "chillin" in college. Then he got caught plagiarizing and UCLA suspended him for a year. Only then did he decide to turn pro. If he's out at Wolfsburg, it's possible this guy still hasn't sorted out his motivational issues.

For those of you wondering about my sources, they're Hill's former teammates.

Obviously, I don't condone plauguraziation. But, I don't think a kid should be looked down on because he enjoyed being a kid.

And yes, I would be interested in Hill as a third forward for third forward money.

If you've ever been to a party involving the UCLA soccer team, you'd know very well why he was happy "chillin" in Los Angeles. ;)

kamani hill is a stud in 10 minutes vs sweden he was our MVP. He helled off the swedish LB that plays at a top club and made him look stupid for 10 seconds straight. I would want him on my team.

Kamani Hill would be great. I also hear that Sammy Ochoa will be in MLS next season.

He played one season for us in the PDL and never looked that great even then - he could hardly make our first XI. Of all the players we had that year, he looked the least likely to turn pro when he did. The motivational issues are still a factor for me.

From the youtube clips, I wouldn't mind him. Only if Gomez is gone though.
