Here's a topic that will probably always be with us, but it's always worth a refresher now and then to keep it in mind:

Our season ended this past weekend and since my team was the last one to use our field, I made sure that the goalposts were safely chained together. While our direct responsibility as coaches and refs probably doesn't go beyond our practices and matches, liability for the club or field owner (town in this case) is still an issue.
It's worth taking a couple of minutes to watch the video clip linked to in the thread on the ref board. The sound and sight of goalposts crushing a 50 gallon oil drum as if it were made of baking foil will stay with you for a while.
