Borough Boys: Logo

Hello,

I would like to officially start he picking of the Logo for the Borough Boys. We will do this the same way the name was picked!

First, please send all your possible Logos to nycfcfan@gmail.com

Title your email, logo request. The Founders will select the best 10 or so and we will send out a voting ballot to pick from. For your vote to count you must be on the mailing list. Please email NYCFCFAN@gmail.com to get on the list.

I would strongly suggest to give the creative process more time and thought!!! I understand that we want results fast, but one week is a very short period to generate, exchange and discuss ideas - I mean, y'all want a real group result and not just an individual effort, or am I mistaken?

I would give it at least 3 weeks - seems fair enough - and then I would check if the results are good enough to take them to the polls. The more time there is and the more we talk about the ideas thrown in, the better the logo will eventually be.

I don't know how long the process took for SoB's Jolly Franklin, but that logo should be at least our benchmark. It is so original and distinctive as there are so many smart referencing elements in the Jolly Franklin logo, yet it is so simple and cleaned up - it's gonna be hard to top that, but we'll manage to! :D

I really liked the eagle and the BB but hey - im not an artist so ill take your word for it - lol!

I'm working on a more polished version of the Eagle, and
I will add so more symbols to is so people know it's NYC.
I also found the words "Een Draght Mackt Maght" on the
Brooklyn Flag. It's Dutch for "In Unity there is strength"
I think that should be our motto for the BB.

Every 1 should keep in mind what ever logos dont win can still wind up becomming flags/banners to hang from the rafters.......

1 becomes the official logo the rest become "trapos"

I know alot of you hated the Englishness of my other designs,
This is another mock up of the Brooklyn bridge logo.
I messed around with a crown on top, I think I'll make it a
solid color though..
and I added a ball below the crown.

We really have to make sure to make the logo convenient for all purposes, so that there are no bad surprises when it comes to printing. Thus, we have to make sure that the logo fulfills certain objectives.

The logo should have no more than two or three colors, because that is the maximum number of colors for most prints and sewings etc. if you don't want to get charged extra. Also, when you have too many multicolored details, you can't see them well when the logo is printed in a small size or in bigger pixels (as for scarfs).
The logo has to look good and clear in black and white as well, since you might want to use it for cheaper black and white copies, like for leaflets etc. Furthermore, black and white is also the most durable and weatherproof of color combinations for stickers, as it has the highest contrast. Stickers in other colors "wear out" way faster!

I forgot how much i hate the Cosmos colors.
I think there is a small chance I would not support them based on
those colors.
Nausea sets in when I look at them......:mad:
Just kidding.....
but I do hate those F@#$ing colors.

I really like the black and white crest. I really hope that the team will have a black and white jersey.

I fiddled with a logo furthermore.
I like the black and white too, but the actually team colors
will be determined so far in the future, and I know if Wilpon owns
the team it won't be black and white.
Who knows though....
I added the Queens globe on the crest for Nick. Heh

actually, I just thought about it and It would be awesome if
we were Black and White....but with small elements in blue.
Like Fulham FC is white and black...but with red accents here and there.
That would be sweet.
