Do the professional teams iin Brazil have reserve teams and youth teams?

Quick question to help with my research into Brazilian Football -

Do the professional teams in Brazil have reserve teams playing in a reserve league like in England or do they have reserve teams that play in the lower leagues like in Spain?

We don't have reserve teams. Some teams like Palmeiras has a second team(Palmeiras B) and they just play within the state vs small teams.

As far as youth teams, yes, every team in Brazil have youth teams and they play in youth tournaments.

And then one day they see this little kid out there doing amazing things in the field ... such as Pele!

Internacional has a B team for the state cup and etc.

We have youth teams (one of the best in the country) and for sure we the best goalie training in Brasil.

Gilmar Rinaldi, Taffarel, Andre Doering and now both of the U-20 and u-17 Brasil's goaliers Renan and Marcelo Boeck.

Also our striker youth squad has provided great players in the past few years like

Daniel Carvalho, Nilmar, Rafael Sobis and Alexandre Pato.

I'm proud to say that I play there when I was a kid.

Which team in Brazil has the best youth policy?

In other words, produces the best young players.

Please would be nice, and btw you have already got an answer to this question on the other topic. That same where you asked the same question twice.

Well I was hoping that more people would contribute to the debate. Feeling very disappointed. :)

As already responded, only a few clubs have "reserve" or "B" teams, which play only regionally. There is no such thing as a "B" team playing in other national divisions. I know some places in europe they allow a reserve team to compete in lower divisions separate from the main team.

All clubs have youth divisions, I believe there are 4 established divisions, mirim, infantil, juvenil and junior, which spans 12-19 years old. They play only regionally, there is no official national youth tournaments (although there has been a national youth tournament recently -- but that's rare)

Threads merged, do not open redundant threads. Bump the old one if it's relevant.

There was Copa Sao Paulo for the longest, and there was a Brasileirao last year, won by Internacional.

In terms of the quality and quantity of high level youngsters produced by the club, i think Flamengo does the best in history so far.

Flamengo has produced most Brazilian internationals and major members of world cup champion lineups; Internacional & Santos rank after Fla.

Does someone agree with me?

Historically, yes. But in recent times, I think it has been spread out amongst the larger clubs.
