He's also certainly not in a tournament best XI. He was awful against Croatia except for putting a good header over goal at one point. Senderos should also not make any best XI, unless it was a Best XI of guys named Senderos.

Villa maybe, Pepe definitely not. That was my Best XI based on who I think has performed the best in the tournament, not who are actually the best players. I mean, Podolski isn't really a LM, but that's where he's played in this tournament and he's done well, so he's in there.

Yeah I could tell it was based on performance because, yes Villa is good, but before the tournament started did anyone really think he was going to be the top scorer for Spain, let alone the tournament? Probably not.

Well no one had if in their line-up in this thread before the Euro started so I'm just saying most people didn't think he would do better than people like Torres, Toni, or Klose that came up a lot as people's strikers in this thread.
