I have. Last year, my coach made me play with a broken ankle all season. On top of that, at the end of the season, last game, I ended up trying to play with a torn ligament. I still cant play and it pisses me off. Has trhat ever happened to you?

Awww, poor baby. I played my last year of high school football with a broken neck. Actually, just a strained PCL.

We had a football coach in charge of the soccer team in high school. My sophomore year I started the season with pretty severe pain in my right thigh every time I kicked the ball. I went to the doctor who diagnosed tendinitis and said to stay off it for a few weeks. The coach insisted that I needed to play through it. I guess he figured that kicking the ball wasn't an essential soccer skill. It was basically a lost season as I was unable to kick the ball with the power or accuracy I was used to.
The lesson is don't be stupid like me- tell the coach that you are hurt and you are going to follow doctor's orders and if he doesn't like it you can find another team to play on. I can promise you no idiot coach is worth risking your health.

Actully Jon Pall, I still have my cast, I have a pin in my foot, and I have already had 2 surgerys. Im only 13 but I know that you need an attitude adjustment just as much as I needed that surgery.

Often youth players are under pressure not just from their coach, but also from their parents. The youth players tend to want to please the adults and often play through pain.
I've coached plenty of youth teams, but now I coach adult women. The biggest problem I am encountering with women is that all their old injuries come back, if they did not properly heal.
Unless you want the injury to be permanent, stay off the field until you are totally ready. Unfortunately, that sometimes means the adults will get disappointed. Too bad. But its more important to heal properly than to play under duress for a season, only to be limping in your 20s and dealing with arthritis in your 40s.
NB: I'm in my 40s and I consume ibuprofin like they are dinner mints.
