I was wondering if the National Soccer Hall of Fame inducted referees like the Basketball of Fame. I checked their website and couldn't find anything.
Thanks.
*EDIT: Looking back at the site I noticed that they recognized NISOA referees and NSCAA coaches, but I still couldn't find anything for USSF referees..
NISOA Referees (http://www.soccerhall.org/VirtualTour/NISOA.htm)
**EDIT: Looking back one more time :) I checked the different categories that someone can be nominated under. This was the criteria for a "Builder" (the three categories are Player, Veteran, and Builder)
Builder
In order to be eligible in this category, an individual must have made his/her mark in soccer in a non-playing capacity and had a major, sustained and positive impact on US soccer on a national or first division professional level. Examples are owners, administrators, coaches and referees.
Under here (http://www.soccerhall.org/Election%20Process/2007/BuilderBios_2007.htm) you can find a list of builders that were inducted, there are many referees among them.
Thanks.
