What kind of baloney is this?! Souness and the squad bust their butts to connect with the American people, and bring them quality footy and we pay him back by not televising it. What a load of garbage. ESPN and FSW are so oblivious to any thing else now because Manure and the Chumps are in the country that they have completely forgotten about their USA natives playing in goal for an EPL side thats playing the MLSs representative team in the capitol city. HELLOO!!??

What a great way to introduce yourself to the boards.

Wow I would hope that if you had the chance between watching a Rovers-DC United friendly and the US-Brazil Gold Cup semi-final, you wouldn't disappoint me...

I had thought about going to the game, but even if I have to watch the USA game in Spanish, it's still more worthy.

ESPN, ESPN2 and Comcast Sports Net have baseball games. The ESPNs are, I believe, contractually obligated to show baseball on Wednesday nights. CSN is showing the Yankees-Orioles. No explanation on that decision is needed.

FSW is replaying the Celtic-ManU game. Look at the relative interest in these friendlies, and it's a no brainer.

There are literally dozens of international friendlies this summer. Just tonight, there are games at the Cotton Bowl and Spartan Stadium. Just because DCU is playing an English team with an American player doesn't make it a broadcast priority.

I'm more concerned with the Gold Cup broadcast details. And I'm happy that there's an MLS game that means something on TV tonight.

Now, I am going to blatantly rip off some one - "When did it go from what can I do for soccer to what can soccer do for me?"

I seem to remember watching DC's match against Totteham at White Heart Lane, but hey what do I know. Not that every other of the Champions World games is being televised on FSW as well.

The Tottenham-DCU game was televised on FSW. It was a last minute addition to the schedule and I strongly envied those folks who had a chance to watch it.

Plus, if you went to watch the USA-Brazil match at Summers, you get that priceless "we're all going to die" feeling for a few minutes when it appears the ventilation and air conditioning system have completely failed. That's always my favorite part of the match.

Yeah it was awesome. You should definately try to track down a tape of that. It was completely different watching an MLS team play in that type of atmosphere and environment with that type of production. I'm telling ya, all these quality of play arguments, a lot of them are in our minds.
