Who do you consider? They must also play some years for their club and became an icon for their clubs. We should not consider players who left the club early and never did anything. Why? I don't want this to be a list of great players and where they spent their junior football. We can just run down the top 100 players in the world and their junior rank. I don't think Baggio, Zidane or Maradona did much for their mother club(Note: Maradona was a product of Argentinos Juniors)

Brazil
Santos: Pele
EPL
Man Utd: George Best
La Liga
Real Madrid: Raul or Butragueño
Barcelona: Someday it will be Messi.
Serie A
Roma: Totti
AC Milan: Maldini or Baresi or Rivera. Rivera is not a home grown player.
Inter Milan: Mazzola???
Juventus: Del Piero???
Bundesliga
Bayern Munich: Beckenbauer

Maradona had scored 116 goals for Argentinos Juniors by the time he was 21. How is that not doing much for them?

For Chelsea it has to be John Terry.
As far as my plasticity knows, he's homegrown.

Juventus: Del Piero???

Del Piero was not brought through the Juventus youth system, he went through the Padova youth system and then was bought by Juve.

You can make a case that Roberto Bettega was their best ever homegrown talent.

These are not all home grown players, but they've been with a certain club for a while.

A.C. Milan: Paolo Maldini or Franco Baresi

Manchester United: Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Sir Bobby Charlton

Real Madrid: Alfredo Di Stefano

Ajax: Johan Cruijff

Pele of course for Santos and Diego Maradona for Napoli , even though he was only there for 6 years, he led them to two Serie A titles, Copa Italia and a UEFA Cup.

Yes since he is a hardcore Boca fan and he won a league title with Boca which is something he never did with Argentinos Jr's. But he spent more time at Argentinos and scored more goals for them.
