Call me crazy but it looks like Fresno could knock off the Galaxy at the HDC. The Galaxy looks like they are slumping and they could be the next victoms of the Fuego.

4th Round is after the MLS All-Star Break. Look out.

The El Paso Patriots are pathetic. Our attendance sucks this year and I wouldn't be surprised if this was the last year of the franchise. Good riddens.

The PDL team I follow plays in the same conference as Fresno. I greatly regret missing that game.

That's an unbelieveable score. It was in El Paso, which despite the fact they probable drew 200, was NOT in Fresno.

Plus, El Paso has had a decent year in the A-League this year (I believe 3rd place in their division), despite the fact they're likely to fold after this season.

Amazing.

Gonna try to make it to HDC for this one...

Attendance: 1750 (http://www.a-league.com/news/2003/news,2003,0435.shtml)

The Patriots have had worse years on and off the field and they have still survived. Hopefully that will continue. I much prefer having pro soccer in EP by way of the Pat's than not having anything at all. Once the Pat's do fold, it will hardly be "good riddance". I have followed this team for 8 years and I will surely miss them.

As for the game last night, EP lost in part cause of overconfidence, but mostly because those kids from Fresno want it way more that the Pat's. EP was up 2-1 and sitting on the lead. That's when Fresno's talent and speed came thru. As a true blue Patriots fans, I have no problem saying that my team got what they deserve. The Fuego are for real, no doubt about it. I'll be pulling for them against the Gals.

Doesn't anyone else find it strange that a semi-pro team like Fresno can beat a 2nd division team like El Paso by that kind of scoreline? if the players on Fresno are so talented, than what are they doing on that team? it's not even like El Paso played their scrubs either, they were playing their best players, and the starting lineup they normally put out against A-League teams. also, as someone pointed out, El Paso isn't doing that horribly in the A-League (8-10-2, 2nd place, central). granted, Fresno is one of the top PDL teams (14-4-0), but they are still a PDL TEAM. was this just an icredible upset, or are PDL teams really on the same level as A-League teams?

Fresno just lost to the la galaxy reserves in the PDL playoffs 2-0. this was the 3rd time this year that the Orange County Blue Star have beaten the Fuego. These are very good teams, however the Fuego have no chance against the Galaxy.

fuego es en fuego. honestly, they are on a huge streak, and if they can keep the same momentum up against galaxy then i think there is a good chance that fresno will start to get the recognition they deserve. i really really hope that the coming games open up many more oppurtunities for these young talented players. they deserve it

if i'm not mistaken, it was their 5th game in 11 days. they barely got back from el paso before having to play the game in spokane.

i think they'll battle the galaxy, though probably come up on the short end.
