Any news about Breno? Who is stalling? The club or him?
Everything goes according to plan. He needs to pass the medical and then the contract can be signed. A German tv station interviewed Breno last weekend. He stated his father visited Munich last week and had a long conversation with Ze Roberto which convinced him.
Sao Paulo's President said they have reported Bayern to Fifa but he also admitted they won't be able to keep him.

Thanks for the good news about Breno.
And deRossi has already been mentioned so often...
But the derossi talk should go into the rumors thread, there is absolutely no reason to believe that roma would sell him or that we would buy him.

Don't know if this is the place for it, but Kicker and other German sports news pages are reporting that the Ismael to Hannover deal is done.
He'll move during the winter break and sign a contract good until 2010.

The Bayern website also gave the official announcement this morning. Good luck Ismael :)

Can't say that this comes as a surprise. Wish him all the best and hope he can avoid injuries there.
I think the talk about Hummels going on loan is out the window now.

If we get Breno he may still be loaned out. We will have: Lucio, Demichelis, van Buyten, Breno, and Hummels. Thats a lot of CBs.

Right but I don't think we'll get Breno. I think either Madrid or Milan will steal him right from under our nose.

I always liked Ismael, he did have some flubs in the champs league but I liked him....he also scored the one goal in the Milan 4-1 disaster (also was the cause of both penalty shots in the two games, Kahn blocked one though)
hopefully he can bounce back at hannover

I think that pretty much summarizes everyone's opinion of his career at Bayern.

I for one was never a fan of Ismael. I'm not sad at all to see him go.
Honess said everthing is done with Breno, so now it's up to Sao Paolo. I hope we'll get him.

same boat with me bud. i never really wanted him here in the first place. he was a quality defender at Bremen, i thought we never needed him. the whole us buying him i thought was to partly weaken bremen's defense temporarily since they were our biggest competition as well as bring in a quality back to help strengthen our backline since we didn't know really what to do with Kuffour or Kovac. and then once he actually played it seemed he always made the one big mistake during the big matches we had, he never seemed to mess up in any other matches than the big ones :(

I think he was under some preasure to perform when he was brought in as the new CB to in place of veterans like Kovac and Kuffour. Perhaps it got to him. That along with injuries pretty much doomed him. Still hope he recovers and does well in Hannover.

i never HATED him, and feel really bad for his injuries. i hope he has success wherever he goes for the rest of his career, he was just the victim of circumstances at Bayern

I've got no ill feelings toward him. Good luck in Hannover.

yeah, I have to say, in light of Bayern "jumping the gun" and stunning everyone with the quick and lucrative transfers last summer, the likes of our main competitors (Real, AC, Chel/ManU, etc) are likely NOT going to allow this sort of thing to happen again without a MAJOR fight.
Expect the worst, hope for the best.
================
With regards to Ismael, I wish him the best as well. I never felt he was a significant signing for us, but hindsight is 20/20. He was Bremen's "Lucio" and made for a good replacement for Lucio (when healthy), but never as a partner with Lucio.
I think in the end run, looking back, Bayern signed too many similar CB's at one time. In otherwords, we already had an attack oriented back in Lucio; then we sign both Ismael and Van Buyton within a year of each other. Demichelis wasn't even in the CB picture at that time (played DM), and the role of "holding" CB was Kovac's.
(Eissman reminiscing about the days of Sammy Kufour... I loved that guy. Damn shame we didn't hang onto him).

(Eissman reminiscing about the days of Sammy Kufour... I loved that guy. Damn shame we didn't hang onto him). I was always a fan of Kuffour. There was just something about him. I remember seeing him with the Amateure, and then being so happy for him when he made the first team. Ah, those were the days...

The sagnol of old days, liza, linke, andersson, sammy, oh how beautiful it was
Well, Linke is with the amateurs to teach Hummels, so we can only hope ;)

Kuffour is one of my idols!

Kuffour was great, loved the guy! I think AC is our main competitor for Breno. Man U (??) is not really a competitor for him, and "supposedly", he got mad at Real for making him take those test to see his age. Hopefully, he's mad enough to not join them, I can only hope!
