Greetings, BigSoccer. Long time lurker, first time poster.

What's with the end-line seats on the picture of RFK on the MLS.net homepage? Did they install end-line seats for the Cup? And if so, why aren't they on the seating chart? (I've never been to RFK until this weekend, so if this is a dumb question, please let me know).

I assume you are talking about seats along the sideboards. They have them every game - I have sat down there two or three times - they are not listed on the seating chart but are available by calling the DC FO. Not sure if they are sold on a game-by-game basis or are season tickets only.

Just looked at MLSNet - if it is the picture I think you are talking about that is an old picture of RFK pre-Nationals.

When the baseball team came they removed those seats (the seats in RFK are on wheels so what is the third base line for the Nationals becomes the sideline seats for DCU). The seats were apparently lost somewhere never to be replaced.

i get that it's an old picture.... but the point for me is:
why would MLSNET post an old picture.... they clearly would have a new one...

my guess is they are trying to promote a better image than reality

Those seats behind the goal were my favorite. Great view of action right in front of you, and best opportunity in the league for autographs or to harrass the opposition as they entered/exited their locker room.
