- Called DC fans some of best in the league

- League plans to begin working with players union on new contract (expires at end of '09)

If they don't know that by now, a sorta full stadium of fairly dispassionate observers isn't going to do it.

Good luck with that.
Unfortunately it's probably going to be one of those announced "sell out" games where half the stadium is empty.

Oh, crap, Garber's getting traded? Who do you think we'll get for him? I hear David Dein is available...

Now im leaning towards going even more, just for the chance to boooooooo him out of RFK. I hope the boo's for him are the LOUDEST part of the afternoon.
Hell, if he even sets foot on that pitch this time, I might even, for a change, advocate someone throwing something, preferable at his head. :o

It will be fun to get our frustrations out in Fenty's face if he dares make a public appearance and doesn't just hide in the press box or in a mezzanine box.

That's assuming a significant number of the 30K or so who bought before DC lost in the playoffs were only interested in seeing the home team in the playoffs.
The interview was good. Nothing groundbreaking, kind of normal Garber stuff, but good PR for the event and the league.

mmmm so fenty will be there even without dc there? where was he for the playoffs? or anyother match for that matter......its a shame he has to watch such a crappy game....

Going looking for Fenty in RFK could be something entertaining to do while ignoring the game. We could ask him if he'll still come to games when we're in our new stadium in Maryland.
And I could tell him how much I regret voting for him and am already planning an "anyone but Fenty" campaign.

Are there any Anti Fenty banners going up for this match? What about signs? I didnt think of it, because I didnt expect Fenty would attend.

I hate the way we got F'ed on Poplar Point as much as everyone else - but don't you all think you are coming at this from the wrong angle. I don't know what is going on in Fenty's mind - but I am damn sure a sign telling him to "suck your balls" or starting a chant "F You Fenty" isn't going to help our cause.

now theres a reason to go, banners and signs of fenty sucking cartmans balls.....or fenty sucking the nationals balls!

I've learned that sometimes people just need to be told to suck your balls. I've also learned it has a 85% success rate of accomplishing the intended goal(s).

Get ready to rip those banners down quickly when Fenty takes the grand-standing occasion of the MLS Cup to announce that his preferred PP development plan is Forrest City's, in partnership with MacFarlane to build a stadium there.
And no, I am not smoking a damned thing...:D
Seriously, though, why the hell is he showing up?
