Toronto FC's Red Patch Boys and U-Sector can have their streamers, Seattle Supporters Groups should look to Urawa Reds for this aspect of home field advantage. Watch how intimidating these flags were to oppositing teams especially during penalty kick.

Also, in the second leg of the AFC Champions League Final, during the run of play, the forest of waving flags was intimidating.

Seattle Supporters would stand out from the rest of MLS if we could duplicate the 'forest of waving flags.' No doubt, it would boost the atmosphere and home field advantage.

Hopefully the team front office would allow Supporters to bring flags like these in.

Maybe we could have a color guard and a marching band.:p;)

Seriously.. I do like the big flags idea. We could get 10 right across the front row. Where is MR Carey at, we need money for flags.

yea that'd be nice if Drew Carey took the supporters group under his wing, seeing as hes so passionate about soccer and it's tradition.

ECS in the past year or so has been drifting toward the continental/ultras type tifo displays -- lots of two pole banners, big ass flags, etc etc.

What's in those vids would be cool... so more flags and two poles, the better!

Barra has approximatelly 200 flags, from 3x5 to 17x22 feet (all paid by Barra, not DCU or owners :D). So it wouldn't stand out that much unless you had 500 people all with flags. ;)

We have some plans.
Now we just need about 5000 more people :D

Barra is good but have you seen Urawa Reds Supporters in that penalty kick on youtube?
3:45 mark.

In addition, I am suggesting we do this behind the goal, not on a sideline.

So other than by going there, where can we get big-ass Sierra Leone flags?

Actually most flag shops will have them. Plus there's many online vendors.

We've used Sierra Leone flags in bulk in the ECS since the club didn't sell any flags whatsoever. We've also seen a few other larger custom-made ones on telescoping flagpoles make their way into the section in the past couple years too.

Here's a shot from a couple of years back:

Hopefully the new MLS club will recognize that they can make money selling flags... just like the old NASL club did (and they were numerous throughout the Kingdome back in the day)... but the Sierra Leone tricolor is a good temporary measure for now

All I can think when I look at that is: who set off the pyro?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that no group in MLS is gonna match UR atmosphere in next 10+ years so we're not trying to match it either :p

I wish the flags would be flipped vertically so that the blue is on top and the green is on the bottom. That corresponds to the proposed Cascadian flag, without the fir tree.

That's amazing coordination with those card displays. That's a hell of a lot of work to get a group doing it that flawlessly.

Those aren't cards, they use the clothes they're wearing (two-colored jackets and different colored shirts).

just wondering, i've seen some ECS vidios, and i wanted to know what kind of dimentions your 2-pole flags are. i want to get some for next years revs season, but we have pole length restrictions at revs games. thanks.
