More than likely yes; it'll probably come out in Europe-only first in late May or early June 2008

Is it true that in the Captain your country mode you can play to up to 4 players on one team,, and each player picks a different position

Definatley gonna get it. Demo is raw, and it's great. Just like a replica of 06 world cup. But enhanced, and I was in love with the World Cup.

I thought the World Cup edition was lacking, gameplay-wise (the visuals were awesome). Through balls were ridiculous, chip shots were automatic but finishing was tough otherwise. One key question: is the finesse shot still available?

Well the gameplay is like it but they give you complete control and they have fixed the easy any balls. The finishing is realistic, but really havent tried a chip shot.

I hope the next Fifa game has a career mode where you can start out as a rookie and work your way up to the big leagues

Does it have Holland with its real players?

Yes it comes out tomorrow at BestBuy and the reason I'm buying this game is ...Create yourself in the game and play on a team with up to three friends, each assuming an individual position on the pitch

It has Holland, but with mis-named players. They seem ok ratings-wise, but the player appearances are also messed up, like Van Der Sar with a blonde afro. Not to worry, users are fixing this as we speak. Check the usual sources for save files.
There's a few glaring bugs in the game and it has to do with squad settings. When you save squads, it doesn't remember the players you set as subs. So you have to re-set them manually before each match.
Also, it ignores saved squads for your opponent when playing single-player exhibition mode. A workaround is to set up a 2-player game and then turn off the second player. Hopefully EA fixes this when the actual 23-man squads come out, hopefully this week.
Gameplay-wise, the game is beyond solid. It's FIFA 08 with all the kinks worked out, with build-up play especially well represented.
BTW - For reference, I have the PS3 version.

I've played the demo for the 360, and it's much better than FIFA08. It has a better flow to the gameplay.
I'll probably give it a rent to stall me over until FIFA09.

I think it was a good pick-up. For $30, I'll call it a good deal.
I'm too entrenched in MLB: The Show 07 at the moment right now though.
