I know that it totally sucks that DC won't be playing Sunday but I was just curious as to who other DC fans would rather see win this game? New England or Houston?

I want to see NE lose it on PKs again, this time with a miss from Pat Noonan.

Anyone notice that Houston is pulling a Stanley Cup playoff run by not shaving? Doesn't work as well on soccer players, IMO.

I'd go with a NE win.
It's that "East coast an' all" thing.

'sides, don't you want an East Confer team to win it?

Houston.

New England is like watching paint dry, only you put the coat of paint on about 5 years ago...

Do not underestimate the hilarity of New England once again failing to win the cup.

That's an easy one for me. My father grew up in Houston and I've got family there so I'm pulling (quietly and with a heavy heart) for the Dynamo. Even without that connection, I'd pull for the Dynamo because their last two play off games drew 30,000 + fans. People in Houston actually care about MLS. MLS in Boston (or Foxboro) doesn't have the level of support, so give the Texans something to celebrate (Boston certainly doesn't need any more good sporting news).

houston without a doubt. for this reason and karma. new england are a good team, but they have played some seriously negative ball at past mls cups. i hope the dynamo put 3 or 4 past them.

Born and raised outside of Beaumont, so I have to go Dynamo (despite the irony of someone who went to A&M supporting an orange team.)

But if New England wins at least their MLS and US Open cups come in the same season so it can be written off as a fluke as they sink back into obscurity.

There will be no winner on Sunday. We can only hope the Yellow Team plays well and makes all the headlines. I say, match abandoned due to lack of players after a bench clearing brawl earns 8 red cards for each team.

I wish both NE and Houston could lose.

I mainly cheer *against* NE because I despise both Reis and Heaps.

I guess that means I'm cheering for Houston.

Since I dispationately watched in person last year's Cup, I would wish a pox on both their houses...

...except that I work each week in Boston, so I kind of like the sports teams up here (that's where I am now) and do like and respect one of the Midnight Rider's leaders (if he were in DC he'd be Barra)...and witnessed his pain last year.

...so, for his sake, I hope that New England pulls it out this time.

As a supporter of the four-time MLS Cup winners, I have to root against the club (SJ/Houston) which is threatening to tie us in number of MLS Cup victories. So New England it is.

And I don't buy the garbage about SJ's Cups and records staying in SJ and transferring to the expansion team. That's horsesh*it. That team in Houston is the same one that won the two cups for San Jose. Remember Dwayne DeRosario nailing that overtime goal in Columbus in 2001? He's going for his fourth Cup. Much as I like him, and as much as I admire the Houston team, and as much as I respect their fans ... I'd rather he not get it. At least not until we've won a couple more.

Screw NE, screw Heaps, screw Reis, screw Joseph. The only joy I've ever derived from those douchebags was when Franchino throat punched Dempsey.

Maybe he'll come out of rehab long enough to sack punch Heaps.

Injuries.

Ching was a nice start, let's keep that going.

Actually, I'm going to pull ever so slightly for NE. I'm on board with the no SJ/Houston fourth star business. And I've spent too much time around Quakes fans in the past year to have any interest in rooting for Houston. NE wins, they can shut up about their bad luck in MLS Cup, we all move on.

Im going for Houston, I really dont like Reis, I hope they put 6 past him. The whole 4 cups thing doesnt bother me as much because even though they are the same players next year we will be the sole owners of our 4 cups while Houston and SJ have to "share" 2 of them.

I hate all the other MLS teams.
However, I do respect Houston's supporters.

New England and its supporters = boring

Houston is my pick.
