Not sure...but i think you can get a decent one for around $300. I would check out BestBuy and see what they have. Or wait until Boxing Day to see if they have any deals.

What do you want to use it for? Will you carry it or is it for your car?

I used someone else's Garmin to travel down to MLS Cup. It got use there and back. Nothing spectacular.

My sister has a TomTom that she uses a lot. Not sure the model on those two.

CompUSA had a Pharos 140 on sale last week (sold out by bthe time I got there). The thing was also a MP3 player. I like the idea of integrating the entertainment with the GPS so that the music volume dims when the voice direction feature kicks in.

I've had the Garmin Nuvi 350 for about 6 months now and really can't complain. (http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-Pocket-Vehicle-Navigator-America/dp/B000BKJZ9Q)

Had the same one myself for a few months. Best uses are for business travel, when I'm driving around in an unfamiliar area. Also my parents used it on a trip to the east coast. It's just good in general when you're trying to get around in a new area. Very easy to learn, once you remember to put the darn antenna up.

I've had this one for several months, also. It has text-to-speech, which specifies street names so, instead of "turn right in 200 feet" you hear "turn right on Main Street in 200 feet."

So far, it has worked well and has not had any problems finding routes to some very rural areas. I'd recommend it.
