It may not be MLS news, but in the last two days cnnsi.com has run links to soccer stories on their main page. First there was the Ronaldhino transfer and now the ManU Tour. Throw in Grant Wahl and it is a tough call vs. ESPN.com on who has the better mainstream soccer coverage. The only thing keeping ESPN.com's coverage in the picture is Marc Connelly.
Also the print version of SI has noticably increased it's soccer coverage.
Plus you gotta love the following line from the ManU article:
"Soccer, of course, isn't as popular in America as the NFL, baseball or the NBA." Any league missing??
Maybe someone recognizes that soccer is on par (popularity-wise) with hockey.
