Calm down! wHO SAID "OPPORTUNIST" is the bad thing? You are just very sensitive with the word/term and MISUNDERTOOD it

The word "opportunist" represent a one a main attributes for a striker in order to seek goal scoring chance in two obvious scenarios:
1- Be at right place and right time
2- Beating the offside trap of opponent defense

For this attribute, NO ONE could train you as it's either built in your blood or zero! For example, players like Robinho, Messi, Henry, Ibra ... are very skillful, but they do NOT possess much of this attribute!
Muller got this as a GIFT (but of course he has many other strenhgths as I litsed on previous post) I do rate Muller very high and even in TOP10 all time!

Muller was not just the best finisher in the team, but among the BEST FINISHER of all time along with Pele, Puskas, Leonidas, Romario, Ronaldo

the word opportunist in used way more in negative ways than positive in football....

everbody can increase his strenght to be at right place and right time...müller was a very agile player where put himself in the right postion..this isnt a god given gift..such suggestions are nonsens.. former german fifa und bundesleaque trainer detmar cramer once very well has descripted müllers strenght in positioning , player must put himself in the position he said... a little example..if everybody is in movement stop your own movement,if everbody isnt in movement move yourself away..a very simple way to put himself in a better position..the argumentation very often is used that müller stood there allways at right time and right place to put in the net genuisly created passes from his teamates..this is in part true..however müller put the ball very often in the net nobody has awaited it, very often in positions the goal and defenders in his back....and his tamates got assist for his action too...so this worlk both ways..

using systematic the offside trap can be effetive but in my opinion is a cowardly method to put offensive players in parts out of the game...for .smart and itelligient players its possible beating the offside trap methods....(netherland 1974 has played the offside trap method)...positioning and reading the game is needed too...not a god given talent..a player inzaghi is very good and sucessful in positioning but for my taste way to much in offside postion and he is very often in offside position opponents not really plays with a offside trap method..he definitiv risk much more and hope than others....

i never said hurst was a genius in many games he has played wc 1966..however nobody can deny his impact in the final for his team winning the cup..he very well is remembered for his contribution in a final (the most important game)...the famous third goal wasnt a goal but his action and shot against the bar was still excellent too...
