I think this deserves its own thread, no offense taken if Nice and/or Clan disagree and move it elsewhere.
What a good hire by the Galaxy, though. That organization has been incompetent for the last several years. I've been neutral in MLS since there's no team in my area, but this will certainly get me interested in LA. Chelsea fans have a lot to thank Gullit for and I for one am pleased that he's been picked for this job.

i can see i'll be making some treks down south next season. ruud was great for us back in the day.
this is a really good move on the galaxy's behalf. we've got frank yallop coming back here and i'd wondered who would get the job, bruce arena aside. it's smart in terms of getting real footy fans who know gullit to pay more attention to them, and smart in terms of giving the team a pretty big mental boost.

Is this really a good thing for the Galaxy / Was he REALLY a good coach @ Chelsea/ Newcastle ( granted , nobody is a good manager at NUFC ). From what I remeber , he wasn't highly regarded as a manager.
This seems like a Sexy choice only in name and not in substance for the Gals. Go figure. I think they need to concentrate on getting it right on the field first before anything else. Right now if you ask me they are a laughing stock, and it starts right with Bozo Lalas.
I am not a Galaxy fan per se. But I do want them to be a great team , I think this league needs that from them or it will be seen as a marketing ploy ( Becks/ gullit 0 and that is it.

Spot on my friend. A great player, a great NAME but a lousy COACH!
Feyenoord went almost bankrupt after all the crap players he bought!

Muuuahahahahaaaa! Gullit (hopefully) will now be a hop and a skip away from me. Yea, not even a jump.
First Torre, now this. Great times to be a Dodger and Chelsea fan. Yasik, I'm telling you, drop the black and orange! Join the blue south!:);)

You bay area bums!! lol.
The good thing about being a Dodger fan is being able to sing Blue is the Colour through the baseball season.
Im definitely gonna eclipse my five Galaxy games viewed this past season. Or at least equal it. They better start winning. They blew this year.

Noooooo!
Actually they've played great this last year, as much as it saddens me. Let's see how they line up against Ruud though. ;)
