Right, let's put Getafe behind us and continue our UEFA adventure! Kickoff 18.00 local time, 11.00 EST.

Anthony Gardner, Ledley King, Benoit Assou-Ekotto, Ricardo Rocha and Gareth Bale (foot) are all still sidelined.
Hapoel could rest some players ahead of their important league match against city rivals Maccabi on Sunday.
From UEFA.com -

• Hapoel were beaten 2-0 at RSC Anderlecht in their opener while Tottenham lost only their second UEFA competition game at White Hart Lane 2-1 against Getafe CF in what was Jol's last game in charge.
• The two sides have never met in European competition.
• Hapoel have played four games against English sides in European club competition winning one, drawing one and losing two.
• Their best result against an English side saw them knock Chelsea FC out of the second round of the 2001/02 UEFA Cup - becoming the first Israeli club to reach the third round. Shimon Gershon and Andrei Clescenco scored in a 2-0 win in the home leg and Hapoel then earned a 1-1 draw in London, with Milan Osterc registering.
• None of the current Hapoel squad played in that game.
• In the same round of the same competition the following year, Hapoel met Leeds United AFC, but lost 1-0 away and 4-1 at home to bow out of Europe. That return leg was played at the Artemio Franchi Stadium in Florence as a result of concerns over the security situation in Israel at the time. Alan Smith scored all four Leeds goals in Italy.
• Current Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson played in both legs of that tie for Leeds.
• Two-time UEFA Cup winners Tottenham have never met Israeli opposition before.
• A 2-1 defeat at Ramos's Sevilla ended a run of four straight European away wins for Tottenham. They drew their only subsequent away tie in the UEFA Cup 1-1 at Anorthosis Famagusta FC in the first round.
• Hapoel are unbeaten in their last six UEFA competition home games.
• Aalborg BK are at home against Anderlecht in the day's other Group G game.

I'll go for 1-0 Tottenham, based on not very much at all. COYS!!!

If we are to lose it'll be safe to say we'd probably being going out of the Uefa cup.

Don't know what the score will be though.

Exactly. Although the Prem is ultimately where it's at, this is not just another UEFA Cup group game, this is vital if we want to get to the real "meat" of the competition, the knockout phase.

I'll be at my local for this one coz I don't yet get Setanta. 8am Pacific on a working day for me so a pot of tea will have to sub for my usual London Pride.

In fact the only London pride I wanna see is a glorious victory for Tottenham Hotspur Football and Athletic Company.

This would be a great time for Berby to get his sheet together and try to impress ManUre, coz sir Alex doesn't like under-performing whiners.

This is a difficult match. I know when a big club goes to some underdog country, the old clichι is that "It's hard to play an away match in _____ (Turkey, Israel, Poland, whatever)" but for some countries its true. Home advantage is HUGE in those three countries in particular, and Hapoel Tel-Aviv is a strong side. Beitar (who went out of the Champs League already) might have been even tougher opposition, but Tel-Aviv is still bomb. Their result against Chelsea just speaks volumes about what underestimation of this kind of team can do. The Leeds win in Italy, therefore, means little, as Tel-Aviv had no home advantage. If they had taken that 1-0 result back to Tel-Aviv, they might have gone through. Even though I support Israeli clubs and NT in international competition, it's SPURS til I die. In the face of adversity in Israel, I believe we'll take home a favorable result. This is a bad time for Hapoel to be playing us, as we really have something to prove, especially in Europe. This might even be the hardest match of the group stages, though, so don't worry if we don't come out 5-0 winners.

Ramos may have to clean house. This team has no fire.

Ramos can't think much of Kaboul, to put Chimbo in there at CB. I heard he did alright there vs. Boro when Kaboul came off? I guess with Rocha, Gardner, King all out the options are limited.

Keano and Berbs starting, this must mean goals.

Does everybody know that you can listen to this match live and free online on the BBC? You need Real Player, but that's it.

Should have been a third. Looked like a definite handball on Keane's rebound of Berbatov's shot.

Hapoel Tel aviv is playing the worst soccer I've ever seen them play,,,,,,I'm sure the spurs didn't expect such an easy game here.

Now a red card for Hta,,,,,,lol.......what a game.
