FIFA08 Glitch?

I just got an XBOX360 and of course bought FIFA08 to go along with it. I finished my first season in the manager mode playing as Celtic (thought it might help learn the game if I played as a good team in a league that isn't so good). I not only finished first, I also won the Scottish Cup.

I started the next season and played in qualifiers for the European Cup. I noticed however, that I played two sets of teams, which I thought were just the initial two qualifying rounds. However, I get to the European Cup proper, and see that Celtic is listed in two different groups- Group 1 and Group 7. I've played the first round and finished first in one group and second in another. In theory, I guess I could end up playing myself in the final.

Has anyone else seen this in their FIFA08?

Yes i played with fenerbahce in two different groups too, but i lost with one and continued with the other
