If Lyon don't win, they suck at life.
Le groupe lyonnais: Vercoutre, Roux, Clerc, Réveillère, C.Anderson, Squillaci, Grosso, Belhadj, Bodmer, Fabio Santos, Källström, Juninho, Govou, Ben Arfa, Keita, Benzéma, Rémy, Fred.
Le groupe du VfB: Meira, Pardo, Osorio, Meissner, Gomez, Marica, Hitzlsperger, Delpierre, Khedira, Langer, Farnerud, Beck, Barreto, da Silva, Tasci, Bastürk, Schäfer, Magnin.
Jeremy Toulalan, Milan Baros, and Patrick Muller are out, but Fred is back on the squad. Loic Remy was called up to replace Baros.
For Stuttgart, Thomas Hitzlsperger and Matthieu Delpierre, who were both absent during the match in Germany, have returned to the squad and will probably start. To accommodate Delpierre's return to France, Armin Veh said he would shift Meira (a defender) to DM.

If Perrin starts Fred or does something funky with his tactics, like putting Reveillere on the left, he needs to be fired ASAP.
Lyon need to stick with what they know, and what they know is a 4-3-3 with Benzema at the front, Ben Arfa on the left, and Govou on the right, supported by Juninho, Fabio Santos, Reveillere, Anderson, Vercoutre, and Squillaci.
The only two positions that should be up in the air is that third midfield spot (Bodmer or Kallstrom), and for LB (Grosso or Belhadj).
Vercoutre
Reveillere - Squillaci - Anderson - Belhadj
Bodmer - Fabio Santos - Juninho
Govou - Benzema - Ben Arfa

LOSS: the end of the world
DRAW: uefa cup here we come
WIN: launching ramp to the stars
perrin's already had his little talk with the boss, and will definitely start what inara says, except grosso instead of belhadj. even if mater had him spinning like a top this weekend, he had a good game, and his crosses are all they claim.
since bordeaux we've been seeing the old OL: an OL of conquerers; an OL that had been on the missing persons list since january and perhaps longer. they will be pumped up for this match like we haven't seen since OL-madrid. i expect a big, big performance.

Well, now that Liverpool has raised the bar, it has to be at least 9-0. :D
Anyway, back to reality...
Lyon:
Vercoutre
Reveillere - Squillaci - Anderson - Grosso
Juninho - Fabio Santos - Kallstrom
Govou - Benzema - Ben Arfa
Stuttgart:
Schafer
Beck - Tasci - Delpierre - Magnin
Khedira - Meira - Hitzlsperger
Basturk
Gomez - Cacau
It is indeed as Guignol said, Grosso is at LB. Also, Kallstrom is starting. He better not do an Abidal and zone out. Otherwise, I guess this is our XI! I'm happy about the lineup (for once), though Stutgart's has changed, which may be to the advantage of the Germans.

Hmmm, try Sopcast channel 31298. It's typically the L1 simulcast, though I think they're showing this one.
Here are the lineups.
Olympique Lyonnais:
30 Vercoutre
20 Réveillère - 29 Squillaci - 22 Anderson - 11 Grosso
26 Fábio Santos
8 Juninho - 6 Källström
14 Govou - - - - - 18 Ben Arfa
10 Benzema
(Yes, it's essentially a 4-3-3 that can also appear as a 4-5-1.)
Stuttgart:
1 Schäfer
2 Beck - 17 Delpierre - 5 Tasçi - 21 Magnin
6 Fernando Meira
28 Khedira - - - - - 11 Hitzlsberger
10 Bastürk
18 Cacau - 33 Gomez
I think OL win this one, only 2-1 as Stuttgart appear to want it to be a defensive battle.

its a good lineup. I'm confident that Kallstrom will play well and of course its great to see Ben Arfa and Benzema starting together. I expect some goals!

I'm watching a stream in german, they cut away to the barca game, I hear a yell in german then it shows some Lyon player celebrating infront of the stands then it cuts out.
Very Frustrating!

That must be really frustrating. I'm my stream the benefit of the doubt, since im at school and using the wireless internet.
Juninho had a brilliant pass to Benzema, who fired it wide. Seems to be all Lyon right now

Gomez with an instant reply for Stuttgart.
Big shot from almost half, Vercoutre gives a large rebound, Gomez slots it home.
Can't wait for Coupet to be back.
