Scout always claimed that Neill was on more like £33k per week. Now I don't know who to believe.

Lot of paper talk. The info that I had at the time was a lot closer to Scout's figure, than the newspaper's.

He may also have had a clause that they would renegotiate wages after a year. I don't know, but it is a regular thing. Chairmen like to know that the player will settle in and do a good job.

My figure is pretty well spot on. From the horses mouth in a way. I'm not even sure he is after an extension yet. I can't remember the length of the original deal.
I know he was very happy at West Ham, he said that if asked he wouldn't mind ending his English career at West Ham.
All this bollocks of 60k, even Eggy said our top earner was on 55k which i understand was Tevez. That includes appearances, goal and win bonus.
Even Bowyer took a big wage cut coming to us from Newcastle. Apparently so did Dyer. Lucas was only on 17k at Blackburn, Liverpool offered him more than we did.
Still silly money in my book. Only stomper gets more for a concert at madison square garden.
