Asamoah has been excellent for them. Completely beaten Bridge in terms of his strength and power.

Avram will regret not starting SWP. That is pathetic decision.

we deserved to lose. Absolutely horrendous performance. Grant is a tool for not subbing on SWP earlier and then either Sheva or Pizzarro.

Rakitic has been excellent for them. I

Asamoah and Rakitic have been excellent. Bridge was completely out matched physically. Now I see what Ashley Cole offers.

Obi and SWP should have started. We lack so many proper attacking players. we need at least 3 in the window. I can' believe how overly reliant we are on Drogba and Lampard. This was one of the worst European performances I've ever seen. Terrible performance. Terrible.

yea Grant is shyte

I seem to forget who was sucking his willy when we won 6-0

For Fecks Sake People, Calm the Feck down.

So we played poorly and got a point away from home at a tough venue.

Be happy with a lucky point.

Chelsea 8
Rosenberg 7
Schalke 4
Valencia 3

Try being a Valencia fan at the moment

Very poor performance from front to back. Malouda especially was awful, thus far he looks like a winger who is afraid to take risks, which is a poor combination. He always plays the safer ball and he rarely hugs the touchline either, which is made worse when J.Cole is cutting inside on the opposite flank.

The back four were extremely lucky tonight, some awfully casual defending.

Schalke must be disappointed, they were definitely the better side apart from a few nice attacking moves we had. Rakitic looks like a gem, it'll be interesting to see how he develops.

I just don't understand what is the point of having 3 forwards on a team and if a manager won't sub one when one is playing poorly.

yea Grant is shyte

BTW- this is not a personal attack on yasik, just a Calm the Feck Down Public Service Announcment from your Uncle fern

look if it keeps up them lets worry

We got a point and got lucky, lets be happy and move on eh?

And for those of you who want to turn Malouda into your little whipping boy, I think you should be fair and include several others who were basically shyte tonight...

You think Cole would've fared much better? Asamaoh is so strong, almost like a poor man's version of Drogba. Cole may have matched up better for pace, but I don't know how he would've competed in terms of strength.

Absolutly dreadful, we shoud petition UEFA to give Shalke the full 3 pts out of shame.

We were Wigan playing to avoid a loss

Disturbing trends:

Away to competitive teams we play a passive falling back 4-5-1 leaving Drogs isolated;

set peice defense awful;

getting very few chances away;

is it too late to loan Malouda and keep Sinclair

Cole much better on the left

Grant does not make changes/subs until far too late and does not seem to change tactics on the fly,

where was Clarke was not sitting by Grant or Cate that I saw

p.s. fern I was the one telling people to calm down after M City :p that it did not mean Grant was a genius or we were Barca North yet, a team that could'nt beat us with 11 men by the way;)

The whole team was poor, but at least J. Cole, Lamps, Essien and co. were passing the ball forward. I don't think Malouda put it one cross tonight, tbh, and most of his passess were sideways and backwards. Great if you're a defensive midfielder, not so much if you're a winger. That's what's most frustrating IMO, the lack of audacity on his part, he seems very timid going forward.

nice to see some fingers pointed elsewhere as well.

agreed with lobo, but man some people hit the panic buttons around here.

Go back and watch the first game vs Schalke and you will see what a good side they are at times. I never felt comfortable with the match up when they were drawn and am quite bloody happy with 4 points from the fixtures vs them

I just dont get this "we are Chelsea and we are going to win everygame" attitude that seems to permeate from this "new" contingent of fans. Yes we played like shyte and were fecking lucky, but so what, we got a valuable point and now have to hope that Schalke will do us a favour and get a result against Rosenberg.

As for Malouda- keep in mind that JM brought him before we start slagging of Grant eh?
