I happened to be whipping through the channels on Dish Network this evening and ran into the Juventus/Modena match in English.

Does anyone know what else they broadcast in English?

ALL match telecasts on Gol TV are available in both English and Spanish.

Thanks. I figured that out last night as the "SAP in English" kept flashing in the lower corner, and I checked my PVR settings and they were defaulted to English. At least now I have another source to get my soccer fix...

However, there only seems to be two English announcers so you hear them over and over again. "Danger ! Danger!" That one guy reminds me of the robot from Lost in Space.

It sounds like they are translating the game as they go along. VERY stiff, and I 100% agree on the "Lost In Space" guy...

Are those two commentators Brits? TeleLatino in Canada has been using the British commentary since they started broadcasting 4 Serie A games at the beginning of the year. TeleLatino and Goltv are using the same feed.

I saw this in a resturant this evening. They had Dish.

I could not find it on DirectTV.

Anybody know if this is available on DirectTV?
What channel?

Gol TV signed a DBS-exclusive deal with DISH. Not available on DirecTV until exclusivity agreement expires.

I can't disclose the date for legal reasons, but I can tell you that you won't find Gol TV on DirecTV for at least another year.

Any chance of them on digital cable before then? My cable system just added Fox Sports Espanol so maybe they'd go for GolTV as well.

Gol TV recently signed a deal with Cablevision in Metro NY/NJ/CT to be part of the Spanish-Language digital package.

Cablevision signed because Gol TV now has the rights to LIVE Colombian Futbol on weekends.

Metro NY/NJ/CT has a large cluster of Colombian immigrants.

Any idea when you expect GolTV to appear on Cablevision digital systems?

Or Comcast?

(I'm guessing "Hell...freezes...over")
