Pre-Tailgate party, Thursday afternoon?

Way back in August, before the tailgate, before the Thursday game against KC (8/2) a good amount of us meet up at the Eagle Brook Saloon in Norfolk around 3, hungout for a bit, and then made the short drive to the Razor and kicked off the tailgate.Eagle Brook Saloon:

Good food, GREAT beer, (EAGLE BROOK'S OWN HANDCRAFTED ALES ) - highly recommended! (unless you dont like beer, and even then.)Anyone interested in doing the same this Thursday? It was a good way for people to beat the rush hour traffic, among other things. ;)

Gates technically open 2 hours prior to kickoff. We usually get there about 2.5 hours before, and after some bitching on their part, they open up.

I don't even know what time the damn game is, as the sites aren't quite coordinated on this.

According to Craig, it's 7:30 (well technically 7:45). He was surprised to hear that ESPN's listing the game at 8.

yeah I checked my dvr last night and it is listed on ESPN2 as 8pm...

I already put in to take half a day off on Thursday, so you'll probably see there since I want to avoid traffic out of Quincy. :)

While it does have a bar, it's mostly a full-fledged family restaurant, and has all kinds of soft drinks as well. Hope you can make it next time!

The food and drinks are good. Went there for a couple hours on Saturday for drinks and dinner. That way we did not have to worry about driving down during the worst part of the storm. Plus it made it easy to get to the tailgate when it opened.

I will try to make it there again on Wednesday if I can sneak out of work early.

Yeah, we were there before the game on Sat. Cool place. Good, cheap, home made brews. I recommend the Brady Brew.

Krista's out for the game, so I'm leaving home around 2 or 2:15, whenever Nathan's going to be ready to leave from his place. Be at the bar around 3 to 3:15.
