Last week we sell him for 50k and today he scored a hat-trick for Swindon. Good luck to him.

Wonder if they have any hidden "performance" clauses in the sale contract that would give us more money later on at the seasons end.............nah, probably not.

we may get more money based on appearances, but that will likely mean another 25-50k if he starts 2/3 of their matches.

Um, thats almost enough to pay Bogarde for a week.....how absolutly pathetic when you think about it.
Did you see the article where Venables thinks a "buy British" campaign is about to sweep the nation?

until the prices are equal there is no point really. I think "buy anyone" would be a better policy. It seems only Liverpool have been following it this summer.

The Boro have strengthened their squad admirably also.I doubt they will be a push over for anybody this coming season.

Juninho
Maccarone
Geremi
Boateng
Who else? I still don't think that will be enough to push them into CL contention.

Not sure as to who else but that is enough there to help them out considerably. It miffs me to see Geremi with that lot as we wanted him. However this De Lucas fella seems to be doing okay and should he work out he will be a hell of a lot cheaper...2.5 mill wasn't it?
I really see them pushing for a top 6-8 finish this season.I tip the yids to fail miserably and fight relegation from feb on.

is free for now. If we decide to keep him beyond the season, Alaves said his buyout is 2.3 mil.I'm sure that could be negotiated lower due to the legal wranglings but we'll have to wait and see. If preseason is any indication we should have sold Gronkjaer and Stanic right after the WC.

Hell yeah, i guess the only thing holding back the sale of one of them is the RFB position. In a pinch Stanic could possibly play there.Gronkjaer was Ranieris second purchasde wasn't he?.
Hope he is big enought orealise that either he or stanic should be sold in the short term, both in the long term.

Good Luck to the lad. You can't keep 'em all. Look how many Man U have let go over the years. None have come back to really haunt us yet. Muzzy Izzet? Harley? Neil Clemmens is doing well at WBA, but we'll wait and see, I still wouldn't put him ahead of Le Sox or Babba.
And we have all those other lefties in the squad as well. Why have we always had lots of memorable left backs over the years?
Rougvie
Joey Jones
Minto
Dorigo?
etc, etc -
I mean a lot more memorable than any RB's - apart from Super Dan naturally.
Gronks as RB? Certainly has the pace to keep up with any winger, but would probably damage himself more in any tackle.
What a huge dissapointment the lad has been.
I'm happy with Mario Melchiot at RB, I like the lad, I think he's loyal, I just get the feeling he'll be turned inside out by any tricksy winger.
Stanic at RB? He's certainly devious enough. A little discrete shirt pulling a little unseen dig. Surly Mario could be the man for the job.

scored another goal, its amazing. He might be scoring for Swindon but that obviously doesnt mean he would be scoring for Chelsea. Remember Paul Furlong? He scored quite a few goals in Division 1 but just couldnt get it done in the Premiership.

Let in 2 for Orient tonight but they still won 3-2.
Is Leon Knight still serving a suspension from last season? He is on loan at Sheffield Wednesday right? Haven't seen him figure in either match but I assume he will be playing soon.

yes mst he is supsended for the first two games of this season due the yellow card penalty from last year. He will be ready for the next match, I read on Wednesdays website that he played very well during the preseason and really starred in thier friendly vs Boro.
