Fallen Angels

Robben (Real Madrid)
Had an incredible league debut. And thus far has 4 appearances with one assist.
In his 1st start in the Champions League against Lazio.....to put it nicely, he was less than stellar.
And in a huge shock, after the International Break (10/27), he pulled a thigh muscile, sidelining him for 5 weeks.
Many fans are just hoping he will pull of some big games while he's healthy.
To quote someone in the RM forum
"With Pepe and Robben now in the ranks - we'll have some good comepetition for places on the physio tables this season...60million euros worth in fact!"

Diarra (Arsenal....I think?)
Left Chelsea, due to lack of playing time, and for the style of ball Arsenal plays.
He's made 1 League Cup app. and 1 CL sub app. At the same time, Chelsea are said to have been playing "beautiful football".
Basically nothing has changed for the young man, except the language.

Other Former Players

Geremi (Newcastle)
The skipper of Newcastle, due to his hard work, dedication, & personality.
Nothing much to talk about stats wise, but has made 10 appearances.
He's also told Big Sam that he's available to play in ANY position that he's needed in.

Glen Johnson (Portsmouth)
Has made 7 appearances, and scored one cracker of a goal against Wigan.
Nothing much here, but has looked much better at Pompey than he did in his 1st few games at Chelsea.

Yves Makabu-Makalambay (Hibernian)
Haven't seen much of him, but by news I've read, he's been decent.

Nuno Morais (APOEL)
According to the web...3 appearances. Nothing to talk about. (I had to edit this, as I forgot we sold him................to be honest, I forgot we bought him.:o)

Out on Loan
....well a few of them

Jimmy Smith (Norwich City)
After an incredible season with QPR last season, he's been injured the majority of this season. 1 appearance thus far.

Michael Mancienne (QPR)
Had a very good season at QPR last season, mainly playing RB, and has done well in his few appearances.
I think QPR would eventually try and sign him, seems to be very well liked, and I don't think Chelsea will ever use him.

Ben Sahar (QPR)
A good game against Fulham in a summer pre-season game. (2 goals). Has made 5 appearances this season.

another notable:

Out on Loan:

Ryan Bertrand a fixture at leftback since joining League One side Oldham, an ENG U-19 international, he did equally well last season when on loan to Bournemouth. has been compaired in style to Ashley Cole.

Great thread. Maybe a mod would change the title to 07/08?

And lest we get depressed, Gallas did score an own goal this week to necessitate his late equalizer. :D

Diarra played for Arsenal last night against Slavia at RB.
1 Off Target Shot.
5 Fouls Committed.
1 Yellow Card.

He should get some more CL action seeing as Arsenal is already through to the RO16.

Scott Sinclair scored today for QPR, he & Michael Mancienne played 90minutes, Ben Sahar was a 90th minute sub. 1-1 vs crystal palace.

Absolutely stupid if we're even contemplating it.

Especially with shite like Ben Haim in the squad.

Well done to Scott btw, conveniently looks like he'll be back in time for the dippers at home as well :D

CLAN'S FAVORITE:
Enrique De Luca:
Currently at Real Murcia in La Liga after leaving Alaves. I can't read Spanish but he must be doing ok there because he's picture is at the top of their site or else Murcia really sucks. (Interestingly this is also Slaviša Jokanović last club)

Sam Dalla Bonna:
At Napoli and I am too lazy to get my wife to translate the Italian site for me.

Tore Andre Flo:
He's at Leeds with Wisey. He said it'll be his last club (according to Wikipedia).

Dalla Bona have a good run last season in Serie B and was in quite a few games (scored a wonder goal if I remember as well). But in Serie A he's hardly played.

Two things I can never quite wrap my head around:

1) Sam Dalla Bona has a CL Winner Medal
2) Jody Morris played over 200 games for Chelsea
3) My wife married me

(In that order)
