Bring on the Fire, as the Revs win 1-0, thanks to a goal by Taylor Twellman, and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals, yet again. :)

I didn't get to listen to the whole game... What did Thompson do so spectacularly? (against all expectations too i'm assuming... *roll*)

Shalrie was MOTM in my book. Great pass to Ralston on the goal. And a consistently solid game in the middle. He's always available to take a pass out of the back, and no one can get the ball away from him.

Shalrie was MOTM, for me. Beautiful through ball on the goal, and tough defense.
Hope Angel is okay...shame to have him go off that way.
I have to hand it to RedBull, really--I didn't think we'd have as tough a time with them as we did. We seem to catch a lot of breaks in the first round of the playoffs!

Shalrie MOTM, thank God Twellman put that goal away, also, cant you just see Kraft on the field with the players saying stuff like "Great Game, ... youuuuuuuuu!" "Hey it's..... this guy!" All kidding aside though, nice to see Kraft there to support the team, especially with the Pats/Colts tommorrow in Indy.

Not pretty but a win's a win. We did just enough to win but must be much better to beat Chicago

Yes, very much against season earned expectations, Wells had a corker of a game. He played well in general, good passing, good defense, tremendous passion [got to many situations where most would not even try], but what really impressed me was a series of slashing runs down the flank, and then later cutting runs into the middle, which absolutely pulled NY back on its heels. [When he went out, the game shifted strongly against us]. The sort of play which makes you wonder if that is the real Wells, and Nicol is a genius at judging potential, or it is just a bizarre "Dia dos Miraculos" and never again will Thompson know Grace as he has today
For the Revs sake, I hope it's the first.:D
By the way, Joseph was truly good today, and Ralston was 26 years old again. All that was needed was to see Dempsey out there again :)

Well done by the Revs. Now do something we couldn't manage...take it to Chicago.

Count me as the first person bitching that MLS has the Revs playing with 2 days less rest than Chicago when they just have easily could have had the West play Thursday where neither team had played the previous week's Thursday game. ESPN probably picked Chicago for Blanco-Factor, at least it's a home game.

Is it true that Kraft made sure there weren't football lines on the field? If so, classy.

I was hoping for a Revs-DC rematch. It would have been a day of beautiful football. But, in the end, you awoke just a little too late on Thursday...I hope we've learnt from watching that match and bring the pain to Pickens quickly. It would be a bitter tragedy to see Blanco walking off the field beaming in triumph

Agreed. At least we did not have overtime today to wipe out drained players.

I always liked Thompson... I thought he played great the first time I saw him... Me and Nicol, we know what we're saying... ;) Hopefully Wells won't be just another Smith... And hopefully he'll be just as effective on Thursday... Can't wait to watch that game!!!

It would have to be approved by him..and there were no lines!
The field looked good, even in those harsh conditions. It may have been just appeareances, but...:)

Really nice to see Bob Kraft down on the field post-game for this one: considering the weather and the Patriots' game in Indy tomorrow, he could just have easily stayed home.
