Interestingly, no Sahar on the bench. Nardiello is the only striker on the bench, although if we need one, Ephraim could also go up top with Ainsworth entering to play wide midfield.
We're underway. UUUURRRRRs!

Buzsaky shot from nearly 30 yards. It was probably going to go wide, but Hull keeper Myhill tipped it away for a QPR corner kick.
Wow. Portsmouth is up 3-0 at Newcastle after less than 12 minutes! That one is on Fox Soccer Channel

As I noted in another thread, I'm just thrilled that R's aren't down after 12 minutes. (actually, 20 now)
What, too cynical/fatalistic? ;)

After being under some pressure from Hull, the R's have had the majority of possession of late with several half chances and a couple of corners. Good work from the R's as they're passing the ball a bit through the midfield.

GOAL QPR!! Hogan Ephraim with the goal from about 20 yards! Rowlands switched fields and found Ephraim, he moved past a defender, didn't really have much help, so took a shot. It may have taken a slight deflection off a Hull defender, but it beat Myhill and the R's are up 1-0!
QPR World's match tracker says:
26:11 Brilliant goal by Hogan Ephraim(QPR) right-footed (bottom-right of goal) from left channel (25 yards).QPR 1-0 Hull. Assist (pass) by Martin Rowlands(QPR) from right wing.

Unfortunately, Ephraim's loan ends after Tuesday night's game against Coventry. We can't extend his short-term loan any longer, as he's been with us the maximum three months. I've no idea if West Ham is going to let us turn it into a long-term loan for the rest of the season or if we'll try to buy him in January. His deal with West Ham ends after this season and, in a recent QPR World interview, he said he hasn't yet had discussions with them about an extention.

West Brom has now scored two at Watford to take a 2-0 lead away at the top-of-the-table Hornets. WBA scored in the 33rd minute and again in the 35th.

QPR 1-0 Hull City
HALF TIME
The commentators have noted that Mancienne has been poor in distribution today, giving away several balls too easily.
Dean Marney starts for Hull. He was briefly a loan player at QPR from Spurs. I saw him make one sub appearance for us a few years back. He only had one league start and one league sub appearance for us, in addition to one start in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy (then the LDV Vans Trophy). If I recall correctly, injury ended his loan to us.

I didn't mention that Mancienne got a yellow before Barker, so 3 of our 4 defenders have been booked. :(
