Half-time now, 0-0.

Chad McCarty and Carrieri have supposedly been involved in a little tete-a-tete.

Far be it from the Rapids to not make things interesting.

2-1 now. Buddle scoring in the 85th minute, assist to McCarty.

If current results hold, the Rapids will hop KC for 5th in the playoff standings.

Hurt my knee, and had to watch this one from the couch. Wish I could have been there. Offensively, this is as good as I have seen the Raps in a while. Zach Kingsley looks like quite a find, great pace, good crosses, hard work. Same goes for Herdsman. Not to single them out alone, but the good work by others,I expected. We could easily have scored 4 or 5 goals tonight. By the way, maybe the fans are always the last to know, but more than once tonight, the Columbus announcers stated that the Rapids will be playing in Black and Blue next year, letting the green go bye-bye. Is the infamous disciplinary panel going to meet later tonight and decide to suspend some Rapid, maybe Carrieri. If the ref doesn't call it, it should stand as played. Can you imagine what would happen if the NFL or NBA had meetings after the games to check to make sure there weren't any fouls that were missed. You would be left with coaches playing one on one.

Way To go Rapids!! That was a pleasure to watch!

Carrieri just keeps on scoring. Chris H scored an absolute beaut of a right footed blast from the 18.

Herdsman, Palacios, Kingsley looked good.

The ads for the game featured McBride and Pablo, neither of whom were in attendance. Combine this with the "black and blue" crap, the cards after the game by the "disciplinary" panel, and it makes me wonder if MLS/Qwest/Anschutz can chase away anymore fans. Everybody up for the Peanut butter dance!!!

I think the PB & J is spiked and the committee is hopped up on the rush.

Have other clubs had this same problem?

YES - and it was the clubs/GMs who wanted it this way!!!!

Not an exceptional effort, but three points is three points. Columbus was shut down for long periods of the match. I hope we're close to shouting down the PB&J for good.

Don't kill me guys but I like the idea of new uniforms and eventhough I agree that it is bad marketing to completly change a teams identity, I also think that colors can hurt a team popularity. People always hated they Bronco's Orange uniforms and there was also alot of resistance when they changed to blue and almost completely got rid of the Orange but if you asked people now, they would say it was a good change. For some reason the green rubs me the same way the orange did.

Anyways, it sounded like a good game, widh I could have been there.

According to the game report, the Rapids had possession 67% of the time. And it seems like they were shooting the ball more and not passing it around so much. I recall only one obvious time when the guy with the ball (Beckerman, maybe?) had a glorious scoring chance, but he chose to pass back into traffic again. Heck, even Carlos took a shot!

Even though it didn't result in a lot of goals, it's still encouraging to see.

As far as the uniforms go, I'm in the middle. I'm not in love with the green, so changing it is no big deal. But I hate it that they are changing it to colors that will look like half of the other teams in the league.

Let's find something unique, that will scream "Rapids" from the other side of the field. Whatever you think of the Crew's lurid yellow uniforms (and who doesn't?), at least there is no mistaking who they are.

Another game, another Carrieri goal and another assist. He's now in the top ten in scoring in the league despite coming off the bench for the majority of his games. When will Hanki learn?

No joke, Chris Carrieri is en fuego.

Over on the Coloumbus boards they are unhappy with him for shoving McCarty into the boards. Apparently McCarty called Carrieri a "punk" in the press after the game. I don't think McCarty has ever fouled anyone, his game is pure finesse, so he was understandably upset. ;)
