It's real tough to argue against Hleb as he could also be considered for the most improved in the EPL and even world football. But you could also consider Cesc as he has really put his stamp on being one of the world's best midfielders. Heck, even Ade could get a mention. What do you all say?....Thank ya now...Roscoe!
I even forgot to mention Theo too...

I'd vote Flamini.

My first thought was Hleb, but I think he has finally just hit his stride at Arsenal. He was just as good at other clubs.
But from last year to this year I would have to vote Flamini too.
The whole team as really improved from last year! :D

No way it is Hleb, he's been this good before, just not following his return after injury last year.
My vote goes to Almunia. Just because we seem more assured on set pieces, and given that he seemed to want a 5 man wall vs Liverpool (and was right in what he wanted) his voice calling out is going to get a lot more attention.

did not even think about manuel...
Id still give it to Flamini, but Almunia is #2
and Hleb is not doing anything different from last year... its just that guys are finishing now... and we criticize Aleks too hard from his post injury slump, when he and Cesc were doing the same thing pre-injury last year

Id vote for Lehmann.
Oh wait, the MOST improved player?? hehe

Don't forget our always-in-motion Clichy. He is quickly becoming the best left back in the EPL. Hleb always had the skills, but is finally putting them to good use.

was going to post Clichy as well.
I'd also have to throw in Almunia. At the beginning of the season, if I'd have been told that we'd go without Lehmann for all of Sept and Oct - and be top of the Prem table, I'd have been shocked. To be sure, I'm not totally confident in Almunia, but he does seem to be consistently improving...

I liked him alot too, but my opinion of Almunia went downhill after watching his repeat performance of out 4-2 defeat at Utd. 3 years ago.
In hindsight, I dont think he faced too much from the opposition so far, with todays game being his big test of the season, which he didnt pass in my eyes.

The great thing about this is how many plausible candidates there are. Hleb, Clichy, Cesc, Flamini, Almunia are all possible. I'm personally still not sold on Adebayor yet, but put him in the mix too.

Almunia didn't really improve. Same old Al, still doesn't make the important saves, still nervous, still bad positioning and decision making.
I would say Flamini and Hleb. :)

Hleb and Flams - I think they were both strong before. Hleb was good prior to his move to Arsenal, and as Orange pointed out, he is just getting settled in and hitting his stride. Flamini was solid for us previously including the CL run. Last year he was more quiet and was used less.
Clichy is my pick. I think he's really picked it up over the past two seasons and has really become on e of the best in the EPL. I think he has improved greatly and has matured.

At the start of the season Ade looked really sharp. I thought he is starting to transform into a striker and starting to develop striker insticts, but then he slowed down and lost his edge the past few games.
The one that really surprised me was Theo, he isn't just bumping into defenders anymore. He really has improved the most in my book, and he deserves a starting place over Eboue.

I'm surprised nobody picked Song. I would pick him but i'm gonna wait on tonight's performance to be the judge. From what i've seen in the 2 CC performances however he's been quite good. And we all know we thought he was the opposite b4.

Carling Cup...Champions League...two very different things. He's played two games in the kids cup, hardly reason to get excited methinks.

I will say Cesc he came back from the world cup a man. Since then in the last 12 months he has improved massively. I would say Hleb but as said before he needed the time to settle here and get up to what he could already do elsewhere.
