...by conceding only 5 fouls and no bookings in 25 league appearances this year. I find it humorous that he collected his first yellow of the year for a 'professional foul' in the first game of the post-season.

Unfortunately, Matt Reis loses out to Brad Guzan for 'Goalkeeper of the year.' I actually agree with MLS' choices here, though. Brad had a great year and had much better numbers than Matt did.

Congrats to our boy Parky. Let's hope he can add 'Goal of the year' to that trophy mantle this year as well.

Well deserved for Parky. And as much as I like Reis, I don't have any complaints about Guzan picking up the award this year (unlike last year when Perkins got it).

Along with goal of the year, here's hoping Parky wins defender of the year. When they announced the nominees I thought that would be his best chance for an award figuring MLS would hand Fair Play to either Pope or Jones since they're retiring.

I'm with ya. When I saw the nominees for fairl play wer Parky and the Vets, I figured he didn't have a chance.

Sorry I missed 'Defender of the year.' I think he's got a great shot at it, although if I were a betting man, I'd probably go with Robinson from Houston, although ultimately I would've picked Barrett instead, but whatever.
